I just casually follow recruiting. But, it's hard to imagine how well it seems CKD and staff are doing on the trail.

I think it's a combination of his reputation as a coach and Bama's collective face in the last 15 years of the CNS era. None of these players can remember a time when Bama was not at or near the top of every college football season!

Now, just imagine if CKD has instant success at Bama (which we could debate what that means)???

For sure, all the Bama haters who thought we'd fall off into oblivion are going to be disappointed!

We have some commits that are under valued at this point. If they get re-evaluated and bumped up, then we have a good chance if we keep up this level of success.

The difference between #1 and #3 is really not that significant, except for bragging rights.

It's the coaching that will be the difference when it gets down to it, and I feel really good about how we stand in that department.

As long as we are Top 5, I'm good with that.;)

Top 5 every year will keep us elite. That and the portal and talent won’t be our issue. Things are so mercurial now you really have to produce to stay at the top tho

According to the points I’ve seen, #1 and #2 are pretty close. We’re #3, but there’s a big gap to get to #2. I’d say (assuming we hold on to everyone) we have a good chance to stay #3.

But it would take a seriously strong finish, coupled with some re-evaluations to the upside for us to close the gap to #2.

I doubt 1 is obtainable. OSU is spending a lot of money to insure Day doesn’t lose to Michigan…..ever.
I imagine there will be a new urgency in Ohio to take down Michigan after they won the NC last year.

Remember what happened in Bama after the Barn won it in 2010? Yeah, we rolled off two in a row and it should have been a 3 peat, but, oh well!

Yeah, it stings in Columbus when the boys in Maze and Blue win the hardware. OSU was ‘tight’ with their NIL money at first, now they are ALL in.

#1, #2, #3…. It all depends on the recruiting site.
Sure, Alabama is currently #3 on 24/7, ON3, and Rivals.
However, ND is #2 on 24/7, while it is #6 on ON3
LSU is #2 on ON3 and it is #11 on 24/7.

I think best case we finish #3. I think OSU and UGA will be #1 and #2 respectively. I always look at the number of commits so far. OSU is ahead of us with 1 fewer commit right now. UGA is right behind us with 4 fewer commits so no doubt they eventually pass us.
