Does anyone know whether JPW will get a chance to play in the homecoming game if the score gets out of hand? I know he will dress out like he did in the TN game, but how long is his suspension? Just curious.
Alabama’s top backup is probably Marc Guillon again, as John Parker Wilson remains suspended. Guillon figures to see some playing time in this game, as perhaps might Jimmy Johns.
That's true but Jess was questioned about it after that and he said it was written last Saturday and he had been out of touch and didn't have any knowledge as to whether or not JPW was actually still suspended. What I can tell you is that JPW IS NOT on the scout team this week.NBF_Bama_Cavalry said:Not according to Jess in the game preview
I was sort of surprised when I read that in the game preview. I had read somewhere else, but I don't remember where, that it was a 1 game suspension.Alanbama27 said:That's true but Jess was questioned about it after that and he said it was written last Saturday and he had been out of touch and didn't have any knowledge as to whether or not JPW was actually still suspended. I agree to some extent that young people tend to make mistakes but not all young people are quarterbacks for the University of Alabama. And not all quarterbacks at Alabama get duis. Im not trying to argue im just saying i hope he learned a lesson.bamaslammer said:I know JPW wouldn't play against Tennessee unless Brody got hurt, but I know it had to kill him inside to know that if Brody had gotten hurt or knocked silly, that he would have let his teammates down by not being ready to go in there. Plus he did not get to be part of a huge win. Also if he is a competitor he believes in himself and feels that had Brody gone down he could have finished the job and gotten the win. Luckily none of that became a factor.
QB is not like other positions, He has got to be a team leader. I'm still dissappointed he didn't truely understand that, but I also think for a first time offense you punish, and move on. My guess is he won't be stupid again. Everybody makes boneheaded mistakes when they are that age.

CMS is around the players at all times, even during punishments. So he can get a feel whether or not the punishment has served it's purpose. If JPW is playing Saturday then that tells me that CMS has seen that the punishment has done it's job and JPW has learned his lesson.
