Game about to start on ESPN News. Beaver in the circle for BAMA. And she gets Skylar Wallace to ground out to 2nd, 1 down.
BAMA is the home team in this game. 2nd batter gets a single up the middle. Pop out to SS, 2 down. Grounder to 2nd, runner out at second. Inning over, BAMA coming to the plate.
Going to the bottom of the first. It would be really nice to see BAMA come out and jump on the Gators. We'll see what happens.
White pops out on a bunt attempt, 1 down. Cahalan K's, 2 down. (ugly K, swung at 3 ball out of the strike zone). Giles K's, 3 down. Looked at two great pitches to hit first. I just don't understand that.
Top of 2nd: 1st batter flies out to the wall in CF, 1 down. Second batter singles up the middle. Runner of first. Grounder to third, out at first, 2 down, runner moves to second. Pop out to 1st base, side retired.
Dowling hits a routine fly out to right center, Florida fielders get confused, and drop the ball. Dowling on second base. Jenna Johnson singles up the middle. Dowling has to hold at 3rd. 1st and 3rd for BAMA, no outs. Esman lines out to 2nd base, 1 down. (hit it hard, but right at the 2nd baseman). Valentine grounds out to SS, run scores. 2 down, runner on second. Heivilin pops out to third, side retired. After 2 complete, it's 1-0 BAMA.
Top of 3: Lead off grounds out to second, 1 down. Grounder to SS, called out at 1st, call being challenged. And the verdict is - safe at first. On video it was a dead tie. Runner on first, 1 down. (It's Wallace. I really wanted to get her out).
Top of 3 continued: Walk by Beaver, Florida now has 1st and 2nd, 1 out. Single ripped to right center. Runner scores, Gators now have 1st and 3rd, 1 out. They've been making pretty good contact against Beaver. Single to SS, but we only get the out at 2nd. Should have been a double play, but bad relay to second. Run scores, Florida leads 2-1, runner on 1st. Fly out to CF, side retired. Florida leads, 2-1.
Bottom of 3rd: Lauren Johnson gets a lead off walk, 1 on for BAMA. White bunts, safe at first. BAMA has 1st and 2nd, no outs. Need to do something here. Cahalan K's on a ball in the dirt. 1 down. Don't know what she's seeing up there. Giles, singles up the middle, run scores. 2-2. 1st and 2nd for BAMA, 1 down. Dowling grounds to 3rd, double play by Florida. 2-2 after 3 complete. Why can't we ever come up with a big inning.
Top of 4th: Lead off single up the middle, runner on 1st. Line out to SS, 1 down, runner on 1st. Single ripped to LF, now 1st and 2nd, 1 down. Beaver needs to mix it up more, they are making good contact. Fly out to LF, 2 down. Fly out to CF, side retired. No damage, still tied 2-2.
Bottom of 4th: Jenna Johnson lines out to CF, 1 down. Esman grounds out to SS, 2 down. Valentine pops out behind second base, side retired. 2-2 after 4 complete.
Top of 5th: Pitching change for BAMA, Briski now in the circle. Lead off single to right field, runner on first, no outs. Briski walks the second batter, 1st and 2nd for Florida, no outs. So far Briski is not sharp. Missing a lot. Hard liner up the middle, run scores, still 1st and 2nd for Florida, no outs. Bunt, out at first, now 2nd and 3rd for Florida, 1 out. Badly needed K for Briski, 2 down. Need to get this next batter to get out of this. Ground ball back to Briski, out at first. Side retired, but Florida now leads 3-2. We need several hits.
We'd all like to beat Florida but Walton has owned Murphy and Bama at the WCWS winning 5 of the 6 games the two have played there. We're down a run going to the bottom of the 5th but maybe today will be our day.
Bottom of 5th: Heivilin - warning track power again, but caught on the track. 1 down. Lauren Johnson swings at strike 3 in the dirt, but it gets away from the catcher, safe at first. White bunts, out at first, Johnson to second. We need a base hit now to tie it up. Cahalan pops out in foul ground, side retired. I wish we could hit. Even Florida's outs are hit hard. 3-2 Gators after 5 complete.
Top of 6th: Florida has 8 hits vs our 3. Briski still in the circle. Lead off has a swinging bunt, out at first, 1 down. Another single up the middle, runner of first for Florida, 1 down. Top of the order coming up. Fly out to deep center, 2 down. Runner still on first, 2 down. Runner steals second on low pitch. Grounder to second, booted by Heivilin, everyone's safe. 1st and 3rd Florida, 2 down. We can't give up another run. Pitching change for BAMA, Alea Johnson coming in. Hope she can get 1 out. This is her first post-season appearance. And, she gives up a 3 run dinger to dead centerfield. Now 6-2 Gators, BAMA is toast. Murphy is an idiot.
Top of 6th continued: Next batter drills the hell out of one to right center, but White lays out and makes the grab. Side retired. Now 6-2 Florida. BAMA has six outs to do something they haven't done yet in OKC, and that's score more than 2 runs in a game. In this case we need at least 5.
