Wonder what happened to our LSU posters?

I like our LSU members. Those who've stuck are great guys. I don't know if their opinions have changed, but, from reading their boards, a lot of their fans have. I wouldn't guess at how long he'll be there, but, if his results stay the same or go down hill, it can't be too many years. The divorce process with a HC who's had some success is long and really painful...

If the game for the SEC becomes Alabama Auburn instead of Alabama LSU, he will be gone quick.
True, but I still think Arkansas will be our biggest challenge in a couple of years if Petrino sticks around.

I feel much better knowing Miles is at LSU and Petrino is in Arkansas because if that situation was reversed..well.

I wonder when they finally had that moment of awakening and realized we were right about Miles all along, and they were wrong. My guess is they kind of knew all along, but were in denial.

At any rate, I hope he does just well enough to beat the barn every year and to stick around a little while longer. I'd hate for them to actually get another good coach down there...
I hope they don't go after tuberville, I'm about sick of his mouth and winning ways.

I still can't believe LSU and Les Miles won a NC with two losses. You probably won't see that happen too often, if ever again.
I cant believe it either! Some way they stumbled into it in part to the talent Saban left him with! I think les best days have passed him by!

I agree with Earle regarding Miles/his situation resembling what he had at OK State. He was always up and down there and never really lived up to expectations. I remember he was rumored to be a candidate for our job way back when, and I was excited (I was only 12-14 though :)). I told my Dad about my excitement about the possibility, and he said "son, are you crazy? That guy is average and we need a home-run hire". Well, the home run hire came a few years later for us.

Miles is one of the worst coaches under pressure I have seen. If you want to perplex the Hat, than show him a clock.

I figured there would be some comments here on TCU not being too good. Found those quickly. Was thinking about in '03 when LSU fans were commenting about the performance of USC against Michigan. Many were also saying similar things as some here are saying in the Fiesta Bowl thread about TCU. Guess we are all the same when it concerns our own team. A playoff certainly would be refreshing.

Then I saw this thread. As for those debates on our forums, there certainly are lots of threads with whining and complaining. Ever heard the terms silent majority and vocal minority?

Only a couple more days till the big game. Y'all must be getting anxious!

On my way out I will share a brief story. One of my close friends married a Bama gal. They live in the heart of Bama country. He is a LSU grad and fan. Their two year old daughter when hearing Auburn immediately yells "BOOOOOO!". Good kid and great parenting. :)

Will stop by some other time. Probably after we see if Bama can represent the SEC better than LSU did in this post season.

Met a few LSU fans this past weekend in Gulf Shores at The Hangout. They were mentioning that Rich Rod was wanting the Texas Tech job bad and they said Miles would go back home to Michigan. They was wanting that pretty bad to happen but I told them I thought that was wishful thinking on the LSU fans part, nearly caused me a beer bottle because the guys really got very upset at me when I said that.

I disagree with the whole premise of this thread. LSU has been out of any kind of championship contention since we beat them. Why would they be spending a lot of time over here after THAT? Even so, I seem to recall seeing several LSU posters that post here over here quite regularly and continue to do so. Those few have seemed to always be good sports and I for one hope they continue to visit and comment here on our forum.:)

I don't believe they've visited us since Less gave his clinic on clock mismanagement on national TV against Old Myth.
Did you watch the end of the Penn State game? On the last drive all he needed was a field goal against Penn State and clock mismanagement cost him another one. Apparently Lester cant learn from his own mistakes.

As much as I hate to admit it, that's what it looks like. I'm not convinced Petrino is all that great, and Les Miles leaves a lot to be desired. He may reinvent himself, but he seems just like the same Les Miles that was average at Oklahoma State. I don't expect much from Nutt and Mullen in the state of Mississippi. If Chizik continues to recruit well, and surround himself with quality assistants, the Iron Bowl will be for the best more seasons than not, pretty soon.

It's not a premise, it's a fact. They were here on a daily basis until the clock mismanagement fiasco, but not since then.

There are a couple we haven't seen a post from since we beat LSU and a couple we haven't seen since we told them to stop harping about the interception call.

And here I thought I was the only one to catch that. What'd they let run off w/out running a play...20 or 25 seconds. That's 3 plays. Then the shot of les looking at "something" with that look in his eyes. I know he's a college grad and all, but I wonder if he can read?

I enjoy hanging out on Tiger Forum. It's not difficult getting into the conversation with all the Saban Threads. Most of the mature posters are good sports just like here.

I did mention to someone over there if they didn't pull out the Penn St. game it was going to feel like a funeral during the winter. Well right now feelings are a little low, through all the CLM's stuff they were proud of the Bowl beat downs LSU has inflicted.

But like someone already suggested if things don't go well for us they will muster up a new found strength. After all misery loves company.

I'd say the same thing that happened to me after UL-Monroe.

Hope they have an easier time getting out of that pit of despair than I did. I was pulling for them to beat up the Big-10, but their bowl game didn't help them, either.

The good news is that they should have a pretty good shot at Florida next year.

I do like reading our LSU posters, but seeing the bungles of Les this season, I don't think he could coach his way out of a paper bag.
