This thread is like the "college football or Auburn burning---which one you prefer" thread and I will say it again, I love Alabama Crimson Tide football more than I hate/mega-loathe/complete and utter disdain *U, thus I prefer the 14 NC.

With that said, methinks both will happen within 2 years.

This is an absurd statement and it was made by Clay Travis this afternoon. Danny Sheridan vehemently disagreed as soon as Travis said it.

I'd expect that from Clay-he's a Tennessee fan. I think he might have even graduated from there...

I find this thread amusing. I went to graduate school out west with an Auburn guy. One of the first things he said to
me was "I HATE Alabama more than I love Auburn". At this point I realized he had some mental issues...

If the MNC is stripped from Auburn, they'll continue to claim it regardless. They'll have sympathy from many sportswriters and some fans from other parts of the country even if it is proven that they have been running a substantial P4P scheme for years. Therefore, I'm not pulling hard for the MNC to be stripped.

However, as they are an SEC west foe, a recruiting competitor and our main rival, I do want to see any system that they're using to gain an unfair advantage put to rest. I also want to see their haughty and hypocritical fans experience some satisfying (for me) comeuppance after hearing years of ridiculous taunting over our infractions (how a group that ranks second in the number of major infractions historically can preach at others with any semblance of seriousness is beyond me). I realize that logic and rationality are concepts lost on their delusional fans, but I could hope that major penalties against them might just shut them up for a while.

I agree with this!!! If we win number 14 this year, doesn't that mean the University of Alabama took it away from Auburn?? It does, means we came and grabbed the torch out their hands and said "Anything you can do, we can do.....7x better!"

I don't think folks are over-estimating the desire many us have for *U to be stripped, but I do think many under-estimate our desire for championships. Championships, no doubt, but if justice and shut-up juice are served down on Lee County, I wouldn't mind a bit.

I can't imagine that any real Bama fan would worry too much about Auburn. Sure, I like to beat Auburn more than anyone, but I like watching Bama win over everyone. I'll take championships at Bama and continue to applaud AU for their championship last year until it is proven that they did something wrong. I would really love to sandwich their one championship in 50 years with numbers 13 and 14. That would be sweet.

i am an alabama fan. i do not live my life based on what hapens at auburn. i do not care about auburn. other than, unfortunately, being in the same state as them, they are completely irrelevant to my life except for one day every yr. i know auburn has been in the headlines a lot lately bc of cam newton and the natty champ. however, we need to quickly get back to normal and stop making them relevant to our daily discussion.

Us winning a NC just drives the Barners insane(short trip I know)..Which causes the Barners to cheat to try & keep up with "Big Brother"..So I choose us winning the NC..Because then it's only a matter of time before they get nailed for cheating..It's a win win situation when Bama adds #14..
