Are you finally becoming a believer now? ;-) Seriously though, I have appreciated your candor and opinions regarding RF. I am not a fan of threads where everyone is wearing rose-colored glasses and refuses to accept any reality that might not mesh with our hopes.

personally i think he's still going Pitt and it's strictly because of everything i've written about Pitt's long (like, 60 years) history of recruiting that small sector between blackhawk high down to west allegheny. Basically talking ONE player of consequence that they didn't get.

I personally wear crimson-colored glasses everyday of my life but I still think Foster ends up at Pitt with Dorian Johnson. Pitt has now gone out of their way to offer Boyd's Clairton teammate (can't remember his name...webb i think) where they weren't considering him before because word is he'll only go to Pitt if Webb got the offer. I think we're in big trouble if they have Boyd and Webb coming along with Chapman and Johnson as you're looking at WR, WR, OL, QB and Foster might feel great about the future of this seemingly junk program. I think the mom's vote is the decider here and she's certainly pro-Pitt

flew back to the burgh this morning after being in the Ga Dome last night and I was actually thinking about how our special teams would be incredibly dangerous with Foster. I've never seen a better returner at the HS level and I think he could dominate punt and ko returns even as a freshman. He has that Javier Arenas confidence but with a lot more size and almost freakish stop/start ability....whether Pitt or Bama I really look forward to watching him return kicks in college. Hopefully he's more Bama than I think but we'll see in the next few weeks. He'll be announcing on Dec 21 at his high school

I get the feeling he will go to Pitt mainly because his Mum wants him to stay close to home. Of course, it will mean he will an opportunity to be on a championship team, but its his decision.

Forget the If not then and It's exactly what I stated ,but more of a lead. So, unless something happens in 18 days he will be in Crimson.

I would normally go with the Mom, but if he really lives with his Dad, then the mommas boy ship may have sailed with the atypical custody arrangement. The home school always has an advantage but this is not a fair matchup in terms of fb programs.

Keenan Allen will be rich, which if you followed his recruitement, was all about what his football talent could get those around him. In today's society with all the portable video devices the NFL can find you anywhere. With some people it's just about playing time and being the star, even if it's on a bad team. Others it's about your favorite team (were I athletic in any form I would've committed to sweep the floors or cut the stadium grass at Alabama). Maybe Robert falls into one of those categories. I hope he Rolls with us, we can always use another playmaker on the field.

he's supposed to be taking an unofficial visit to Pitt on saturday. Panthers have 10 other guys coming in but not Boyd, Howard and Webb from Clairton as they'll be looking to extend high school football's longest current winning streak in the nation playing in state semi-finals...

obviously the disadvantage we have with him being so close to the rival recruiting school as he's only a half hour from the Pitt campus

with the quality fo players we have sitting and waiting their turn...we'll be dangerous with or without foster.
be nice to have him, of course, but I dont think for a minute that the kids we have waiting arent as good as he is...

hes just the latest model ferrari on the market, and will be a huge, huge deal to Pitt... but Bama has a whole garage full of 'em already!

...he's not coming to Bama...pull is just too strong to Pitt.

we'll see who ends up being right but I compare Foster's return ability to Rocket Ismail. Not sure Foster is all that much of a WR right now but he will be in 2 years with some great coaching...but, dang, this kid has ridiculous PR/KR ability. I just don't see that swagger and confidence out of either Jones right now so I don't think we have a Foster sitting in the garage at this point

interesting news that Brett Bielema is headed to Arkansas. Interesting because Paul Chryst left Wisconsin as BB's OC last year to coach Pitt based on AD Barry Alvarez's recommendation. Alvarez (i think) is still running the show at Wisconsin so you'd have to think he'll consider Chryst for the HC job as he did a real nice job with Pitt. If that happens, wow, the Pitt recruits will start falling off the cliff...
