News Article: WSJ: The Bill Belichick Nightmare Just Keeps Getting Worse [Mac Jones-related]

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

It's amazing to me how a team will use a high pick on a QB, expect him to be the guy, but then not surround him with a good OL or WRs or even a complementary running game. Mac was getting battered and Bryce still is. I find it to be a bold strategy that doesn't work out for them.
Its an old conundrum. I think Galen Hall at Florida had the right idea. He was asked how he kept florida competitive even on probation. He said you had to build the team from both lines out. Does not matter if you have Dan Marino at qb and Walter Payton at rb. If you can't block for them, you ain't winning." Same things win that always won. You just have different excuses when you lose.
