Heartbreaking loss in the SECT to Miss State with penalty kicks not going our way BUT the ladies are a lock for the NCAA tourney which is a big accomplishment and I think the first time in program history we've made it back to back years. Hopefully get a home match in the first round.

Three straight Tourney bids, hosting matches in November, it's easy to forget just making the NCAAT was a minor miracle up until a few years ago. Hope we can continue to recruit well and develop all of this young talent! The program is in great shape. Now I hope our Volleyball team can make some progress. It's nice to see ALL of the sports have success.

Bama dances in the rain to the second round with a 2-0 victory of WC.Clem and Gemelli with the goals and Coralie Lallier with a clean sheet.The Tar Heels are next up friday at Lubbock.We played them to a draw earlier this year.RTR!

I was able to watch the second half and never saw Gianna Paul on the pitch. I checked the stats and she didn't play at all so I presume she's injured. If so, does anyone know her availability going forward? We'll need everyone against the Heels.

Of note was the absence of Alabama star Gianna Paul. The sophomore striker was not in the starting lineup and did not play at all on Friday. Hart said she's nursing an injury from the SEC Tournament and the team didn't want to risk her potentially getting hurt worse. Her status for the second round is questionable, though Hart is hopeful she can go.

Proud of the team how they competed Friday and really all year. The amount of talent we lost from the record setting year in 2022 was hard to replace but to stay in the top 15 virtually the entire season, make the NCAAT and then win a game is impressive. Not an expert on professional opportunities, but hopefully Felicia Knox comes back for one more year and I know we are going to miss Macy Clem who seemed like the ultimate teammate. No matter what, the future is VERY bright.
