What beach? We just returned from Miramar Beach/Destin area. I love that area. I'd like to get a townhome or condo in that area someday for our family and for rental, but with the way prices are these days, it would be hard to break even. We are looking at Miramar Beach, Navarre, and Pensacola, and maybe Hilton Head. I think for rental purposes, Miramar Beach would be the best. That is what I am most familiar with anyway.
I'm in New Smyrna Beach. Bought mine way back in '96 before things got crazy! I think it's the baby boomers retiring and looking for somewhere warm to live near the coast that is driving everything up. Best advice I have is to beat the bushes and be patient and at some point something decent will turn up in your budget. What beach? We just returned from Miramar Beach/Destin area. I love that area. Last snow was just over a week ago, but spring ain't over yet.
Rainy and cold here in Charleston -- highs in the low 60's...insane.
We've had perfect weather for the last week in Memphis - lows in the mid 60's, highs in the low 80's, no rain, lots of sunshine...Lot of very welcome rain this week - and last two days add in lot of wind!
