It turns out the hotel where I’m staying was Cook County Hospital in 1993, when Dr. Kimble was checking out prosthetic arms on the guy who killed Sela Ward.
Visited the site where Bazza’s Aunt Hazel O’Leary began the Great Chicago Fire in 1871, which conveniently these days is the Chicago fire department. Her cow kicked over a lantern in the barn and yet they still named the city’s basketball team after future leather.
If you’re old like me, you may recall the building that houses the on site security for UIC serving as the building in which the hit TV show “Hill Street Blues†headquarters was.
And hey……..let’s be careful out there.
Picked up some Sand Cordgrass for one of my accounts this morning. This is the nursery I mentioned in an earlier post that suppled MJ's Hobe Sound course with all that Gulf Muhly Grass.
On my way to one of my accounts to install some new landscape lighting. It's not very far. I took some back streets to avoid some larger trucks and vehicles on the main road. Feels like that Frogger game here some days when trying to navigate around all the service and contractor vehicles.
I see a bike parked by the curb along with the owner's garbage cans so naturally I had to stop and check it out. OK...back wheel not turning and handlebars not secured. Other than that - might be an easy fix. So into the truck bed it goes. I will take a closer look when I get time.
Looks like an inexpensive Huffy model "Rock Creek" ~ $100 at WM:
