You ever speak to someone on the phone and confuse their gender?

It happened to me last year when I bought that last motorcycle. Seller's name was Jude and sounded like a guy. Later found out she was a female.

Then today someone named Sami. High pitched voice. I asked is that short for Samantha? No I'm a guy.

Doh.......

Got behind on my palm seedling project and trying to catch up. I guess this answers the question of seed viability for this particular palm! :ROFLMAO:

I have another FIVE baggies to do after these two. Those are further behind so should be easier to plant. Still a lot of somewhat tedious work involved.

Next batch I will just sell them online - especially now that I can show they are viable.

My neighbor is having some landscape renovation work done today. They removed some smaller trees that were damaged by the freeze and are re-planting in some of the beds. I watched them unload the shrubs. All Plumbago capensis - a good choice, IMHO. Most were 7 gallon size but a few were 3 gallon size. Then I went for a bike ride.

When I got back they were planted.

Notice anything in this bed? Looks to me like they ran out of 7 gallon and used 3 gallon for the last 6 on the left side.

Eventually of course it won't matter. They will all grow together into a solid "hedge".

I never used Plumbago like that. I spaced them very far apart so you could see their natural form. But that's what separates one designer from another.

I do give them credit for using an odd number in the bed: 9. They also planted Plumbagos along the front bed - so kudos for maintaining continuity. That will go a long ways to making everything look pleasing to the eye.
