BREAKING YouTube.TV drops Disney/ESPN/ABC & an alternate

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

I thought maybe this weekend would be a "well at least we didn't miss anything" kind of weekend. Wrong! Naturally, it's only one of the best of the season. Every game has been a classic, it seems..sigh....

I actually left Spectrum for YouTube TV in 2023 because of this very dispute. Now....two years later....the recommendation is "go back to Spectrum". I'll give it until the morning of the day of our game against LSU. One week from tomorrow. If it STILL hasn't been resolved....well...I may just go back to Spectrum...bad as I don't want to do that
You can go to YouTube Video, and tell it Oklahoma vs. Tn, and find 1/2 dozen people televising the games that Youtube and Disney are denying us.
Tonight I watched full coverage/live coverage of OK and TN. I checked and the Auburn vs KY is also broadcast on several different channels... LOOKS LIKE THIS IS A WAY TO WATCH GAMES DESPITE THE CONFLICT.

If it's any consolation at all, the joke may be on them this week. One, Bama is on a bye, so that makes things a little more bearable. Two, from what I can tell, I don't think we are missing anything, as far as SEC games go this week. Texas is running Vandy right out of Austin and Georgia will, in all likelihood, drag Florida all up and down Jacksonville. I don't expect Oklahoma to give UcheaT much of a contest. If this thing can get ironed out by Saturday of next week, the timing will have worked out just right

So. About that….😝

For some odd reason I’ve been flooded with ads to switch to Hulu and the new ESPN streaming app today 😏. I dislike Disney as a company so much.
What is there to like about Google, AT&T, Paramount, Microsoft, Verizon, Auto Insurance Companies and on and on? They all are looking to steal our information and own us in some way. It is a difficult place for consumers to live.

Well for me Disney has a special place of disgust mainly because they bought up a lot of things I enjoy/ed and basically intentionally ruined them. Star Wars and Lucas Film for example. Or college sports viewership where they basically campaigned for NIL and the expanded playoff. And I’ll leave it there to keep it non-political.

And when I switched to comcast/xfinity for internet, their TV service offered was also a streaming service through their streaming box, not a traditional cable system so even the cable companies are getting away from traditional cable.
Are you sure about that? I've had Xfinity for years and years and I've never heard of or been offered a "streaming" service for Xfinity. If you have one of their cable boxes it does use the internet for the TV guide and if you watch any of their on-demand stuff it is streamed, but the live TV channels are just that, a live TV broadcast.
