BREAKING YouTube.TV drops Disney/ESPN/ABC & an alternate

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Just a reminder for those of you who did the fubo trial on Saturday that the trial expires tomorrow so you'll need to either cancel or subscribe. If you cancel, you can't do another trial (at least from the same address & email).

A quick google search finds this:
  • New accounts are forbidden: Fubo explicitly states that attempting to get a second free trial by creating new or alternate accounts is a material breach of the agreement.
  • Potential consequences: Fubo can ban you from accessing their platform and services if they detect you are trying to get another free trial.
  • No second trials: Once a free trial is used, another is not granted, especially if you cancel before the trial ends, according to the Fubo Help Center.
  • Subscription is the only option: If you want to use the service again, you will have to sign up for a paid subscription.

So then your option is to do a trial of sling, directv, hulu live, or get the espn app,

I personally refuse to buy the ESPN app. I’m not hating on those who do. I fear the conventional way of viewing college football is slowly gravitating to specialized apps or bundles (ie. more money for the Disneys of the world).

I would think that eventually YTTV and the mouse would kiss and make up, but when this happened with Spectrum two years ago, they had it resolved well before this much time had passed. If YTTV throws their hands up and tells Disney to kick rocks, then I'd think that would be suicide for them. So I wouldn't think they would take that risk. But, the longer this goes on.....you gotta wonder

I am just cancelling YTTV and using the antenna and getting the ESPN app for the near term. We will see how it goes. It will save money during football season.
