I've got a funny Christmas story (a bit Bama and football related), and thought I'd start a thread for us to post our funny Christmas stories and Bama presents. I'm still holding out hope for tickets to the NC game from Santa, but not holding my breath. :)

Anyway, we had Christmas at my Grandmother's tonight, and thought I'd share a story about my cousin's 4 year old son.

He got several Christmas gifts, and one of them was a little nerf football. My cousin and her husband (a huge Bama fan) are raising the boy right. He pulled it out and said "ooh, a football!" After about a second, though, he noticed that the nerf football happened to be colored orange and blue and he handed it to his dad and said "ewww, it's auburn!"

I cracked up. Smart kid. :)

For Christmas I received the 2 Bama SI's from my daughter(a UA student), a houndstooth Bama hat from my brother and sister-in-law and a big framed picture of Coach Bryant leaning against the goalpost from my oldest daughter. :PDTC_029:

I received two NC Bama car flags (I'll fly those in Pasadena too!) and a bottle of red wine made in Bama (my brother who lives in Bama got it for me).

My best Christmas present was the NC tickets, can't wait to use them!

I got a Daniel Moore sketch numbered 1 of 5000 of Maxmium Block, a belt (like CNS wears), and about 15 various football cards autographed by current and former Alabama greats. Can't wait to put it up on the Bama room wall!:BigA:

Haven't had Christmas at my parents' yet (my dad and I trade, I mean, gift each other Bama gear every year), but my wife got me a huge black and white print of BDS matted and framed. It looks awesome.

I got a Saban belt also, but the best present was that my parents gave me enough Skymiles to take both of our kids (11 and 9) to Pasadena with us. We thought we were going to have to leave them here.

Hopefully this will be a trip that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Just a few Bama-related items. The in-laws gave me a Bama desk clock for my office. The brother-in-law gave me an SECCG t-shirt. My kids gave me a Script A badge holder for my hospital ID (probably the thing that will get the most use day-to-day) and last, but certainly not least, my husband gave me a leather coat that is a deep Crimson in color (I love, love, L-O-V-E it!!!).

All is right in the SavannahDare household this Christmas day. I hope all is right in yours.

Peace.

I got an Alabama jersey with the BCS Championship patch on it #22.

That was the jersey I wanted to get but the only one I could find had screenprinted numbers, not the twill numbers. I was so disappointed I couldn't find one like that so I went back with a #12 jersey. I may just find the patch and have it sewn on...

A DVD of the SEC Championship game, as well as a shirt for the SEC Championship and BCS NCG. My Golden Retriever got a Alabama T-shirt, but that didn't last long.

I got my husband a Daniel Moore print of Protho autographed by Prothro, a Bama football autographed by Prothro and David Palmer, and a canvas print autographed by both of them

Got my Michigan nephews a #62 jersey and a new Bama cap. My best friend's kids-in-law LOVED their new Bama sweatshirts. My Godchild will get his 2 Bama teddy bears next week....

My wife surprised me with a nike Bama BCS Championship shirt along with the hooded sweat shirt Ive been wanting since last year.

Parents gave me the defining moments DVD's. Has anybody seen these and are they worth keeping? I remember The kick vividly and was at the game with the Take Away. I was two years old when the Goal line stand occured. 315 and run in the mud...are these really "defining moments"? Do these carry heavy significance in Bama football history? I like watching old game films, especially games I went to. I am not sure if this is something I will watch more than once.

I am debating taking this gift back. Am I less of a Bama fan for even thinking about it? I have two boys, the oldest being 4. Should that sway my decision?

No offense, but I have everyone on this site beat. My family surprised me with a "Premium Upgraded" National Championship Game Official Tour Package (hotel, airfare, VIP events, 40-50 yard line seats, etc.) for me and my girlfriend. I almost cried.

Here's the icing on the cake: My girlfriend is from Oregon and this will be her first Bama game. The last time any member of her family went to a Bama game (or the Rose Bowl for that matter) was when her Grandfather was the MVP of the 1927 Rose Bowl helping Bama win their 2nd National Championship (He was also a starter on the first NC team at the Rose Bowl).

Don't worry everyone... I have karma covered for all of us.

I got an Auburn fossil wallet from my grandmother (She's an Alabama fan). =(
She realized her mistake when she got home, so she returned it and got another one... Another Auburn wallet.
She returned that one, and finally came out with a Bama one.

I think my grandmother is losing it.
She also apparently got some AU flipflops for me. :frown:

I also mainly had a Crimson Christmas which included… four tshirts, a sweat shirt, fleece jacket, car flag, key chain, a SEC Championship plaque thing, and my mom framed this: http://media.al.com/bamabeat/photo/si-cover-peek-alcomjpg-ffdbf387e2ca1abb_large.jpg And rounding out my Bama payload, my favorite out of that… a houndstooth hat. Much like the one Bryant himself had.

*I've been a lifelong Bama fan. Just thought I'd throw it out there cause to me with those gift it sorta sounds like I'm jumping on the bandwagon this season. But I'm not.

I'm glad it worked out for you, but I was laughing my butt off about the wallet and the flipflops. au flipflops must be some kind of catastrophic ugly! That would be like getting a pair of jorts.
