Not surprising. He is a whiner to the highest degree. When you invest your entire team in one or two players, this is what can happen. Glad they are disposed of. The most arrogant program I believe I've ever encountered.

Cry me a river Longhorns. Injuries are part of the game. Oklahoma may have beaten Texas had Bradford not gone out. How many times in the past 17 years have we lost a starter to injury? The next guy has to be ready. Unfortunately, that is not the case a lot of the time.

Who says injuries aren't part of the game? Our QB got hurt, our backup wasn't as good, 'bama won going away. It's not whining to say it probably would have been a different game if McCoy hadn't been hurt.

Congrats on a well-played game and an outstanding team . . .

This kind of stuff is why I wish we had not taken our foot off the gas in the third quarter. Oh well, unlike Mack, in the overall scheme of things, I'm not complaining. Roll Tide!!!:biggrin2:

I think the issue is with him saying "it wouldn't even have been close."

Maybe he didn't think that McCoy would have been able to throw the two touchdown passes the freshman threw. :biggrin2:

I happen to agree with Mack. Bama got very lucky last night with Colt gone. Had Colt been able to play, I very much doubt that the three turnovers made by the frosh QB that resulted in Bama TDs would have happened. And the Colt was shredding the Bama secondary. Even the freshman QB, throwing basically only to Shipley, was moving the ball reliably. Take away the TDs from the turnovers, add 1-2 TDs for Colt's experience and ability to shred an clearly vulnerable secondary, and Bama loses by 3 TDs.

It's not whining

Yea, pretty sure that's whining.

to say it probably would have been a different game if McCoy hadn't been hurt.

It would have been a different game...but on both sides. For example, we don't play sooo conservatively on offense. GMac would have been more agressive with Colt in the game. He didn't want to do anything stupid...cough shovel pass cough...and set up the new QB. On the other side, Texas probably doesn't onside the kick in the 3rd. A completely different game would have played out. I still think we win with our D. I guess Mack wanted to stop the game and play it when Colt was healthy.

This is not how football works. You play the hand you are dealt. If you're up by 18, you play differently than if you are down by 10. If Bama is down by 10, we don't mount clock-eating drives late in the 4th. yadda yadda

Agreed - add the fact that Colt was going to throw a few picks in that game, too and you just can't make these assumptions. Colt has thrown picks and fumbled all of his career - including this year. It is a part of his game...
