I don't post often, but have been looking for clips of BI and found some. I know it's high school, but he looks like the perfect replacement for Cody. The second half of the clips are more impressive to me. :)BRANDON IVORY

Yeah, I think if he trims down some he can be even quicker and more dominant. i am not sure if the coaches want him to stay around 330lbs and just be a run stuffer or slim down. I do think he has great potential.

His goal is 300-305.

Thanks for the film clips! It's the first I've seen of this kid, he is going to be awesome. Can't believe he only had a few offers, Memphis being the best before Coach Sabin saw film on him(including basketball I believe). Talk about flying under the radar!
He didn't go to any major camps. It was actually coaches from opposing schools, that got dominated by Ivory, that called Coach Saban and told him he should check out Brandon.

I think I also heard somewhere that Keiwone Malone met Brandon somewhere (Tennessee state All-Star game maybe) and Malone told Saban to check him out as well..

I really like the fact that CNS is keeping his ear to the ground, so to speak. I could use more cliches, but why bother? Hopefully Brandon Ivory turns out as well as some of Coaches' other "projects."

I am a little surprised that his goal is to get that much lighter. It may sound crazy, but I sure hope getting down to 300-305lb range does not decrease his ability to stop the run because he pretty much dominates at his current size. I guess losing that weight will only make him quicker.

Bama finds diamond in the rough with Ivory | TideSports.com
Ivory, according to Saban, was only recruited by two other schools and was not on the Crimson Tide’s radar last summer, when the list of players who would be offered a scholarship narrowed significantly.

“We found out about Brandon Ivory because some coaches in the area called us this season, and this is one thing that makes it much more difficult ... guys who develop when they are seniors and play very well their senior year can very much get overlooked because seldom do you even go back and look at them,” Saban said. “Going into this season we were almost full — before they ever played their senior year.

......"He seemed to fit the criteria and we felt like we had to justify our dietician, some kind of way here, since Cody’s leaving." :)
