Question: How many of you have friends/family who are Auburn fans

My best friend is an Auburn fan. My 2nd best friend is a Florida fan. Am i going to hell?

Colby, what's up man? Been awhile and hope you are doing well. I have some friends that are Auburn fans but my closest friends are either Alabama, FSU or Florida. Thankfully I don't see the Auburn friends that much anymore :) Nah, I kid I kid, they're good people.

what's up rick? been awhile indeed. did you go to A-day?

anyway back to the original topic. there aren't any member of my immediate family that are barners. i'm not sure we would actually allow that. i have some cousins who went to auburn for some reason. they never can seem to give me a straight answer as to why

I grew up with a bunch of Auburn fans as friends, I guess that's what I get for growing up just over an hour (if that) away from Auburn (in Prattville), but I couldn't help that, that's where my dad got a job. On the other hand, I did go to the same high school as former Bama players Kevin Turner, Kyle Tatum, Bobby Greenwood, and Roman Harper, so that redeems me...

None of my friends from college or grad school (both at Bama) are Auburn fans.

I also have a bunch of relatives in Florida who are Gator fans, again, I can't help that.

What I can help, however, is I'm dating a Gator fan.

I have one close friend who is an Auburn fan. You know what they say..."keep your friends close and your enemies closer".

Fortunately, he is a reasonable Auburn fan (kinda like jumbo shrimp - an oxymoron).

I have one aunt that married into my USC family about 10-12 years ago. At the time, no one thought that any of the kids were going to Alabama. Once I got my acceptance letter, I called her. She said that her husband (my dad's brother) warned her that I might be going to Alabama. She told me that she guessed that she wouldn't give me a hard time because I am her nephew.

She didn't want to talk about the last two losses however. I will see her again in May.

My wife was a casual Auburn fan when we met. It took about a year for her to see the error of her ways and she's no longer wrong-headed. Now cheers for Bama almost as rabidly as I do.

I have a wonderful family that are friends and Auburn fans. I also have nephews and nieces that are Auburn grads.

My Auburn friends actually offered their Bama at Auburn tickets last season to me and my wife.

I love them and have lots of fun with them. Roll Tide Roll!!!

I had dinner last night with good friends - two couples, one AU fans, and the other both MSU grads. We talked for two hours. Life's time is too short to filter friends out by school allegiance. Now, I'd never spend time with some of the obnoxious ones...

I have a couple of different friends that are Auburn fans--neither are of the obnoxious sort thank goodness...but they did receive some "friendly ribbing" over the last couple of years. ;)

How 'bout every aunt and uncle and every first cousin and all their children. I am the only Bama grad or fan on either side of my family.

P.S. I have no friends except for you guys and gals, so all my friends are Alabama fans. :BigA:

One of my dearest friends here in Albemarle was an alum of Auburn's Veterinary school. He died a few years back and is sorely missed. A prince of a guy.
Right now I have four friends with Auburn connections.
1. A former professor at Auburn who is now retired and living here in Albemarle, NC. However, he is presently a candidate for County Commission and drives a crimson truck decorated with his campaign signs. Go figure.

2. A veterinarian who graduated from Auburn. He is really a nice guy who gave me a hard time for several years, his taunting ending abruptly two years ago. Wonder why.

3. An engineering graduate of Auburn who is the manager of a plant in nearby Mt. Gilead, NC. He and his family attend the same church as we. We get along very well.

4. I am a director of a local bank, and one of our employees is a graduate in math who works in our statictical analysis group. He is very bright, and we have a lot of fun talking about Auburn-Alabama.

Alabama also has many followers in this area, although I don't know any alumni.

Also in a mixed marriage, though I'm only going on four years. My sympathies go out to those of you in those of long standing. Things can get testy, particularly when the IB rolls around.
