Ole Miss 2011 schedule

It appears that they are opening the season with Boise St. (Is this old news?) Seems as though Boise St. made a good choice to get their feet wet in the SEC.

I wonder if they have to return the trip. Who wants to go play a road game at a stadium of only 33,000 and that awful blue field?

It is a one time deal. The last time Boise visited the SEC UGA beat them by about 4TDs, but I don't think Ole Miss will be able to do that to them.

could be a good game considering that the boys from the blue turf lose alot of talent from this year's squad and their top play maker and return specialist titus young

A Coach Nutt team every year will lose a game it shouldn't & win a game they shouldn't..He's hard to figure out..So I dunno how that game will go..

I have no idea what Ole Miss will look like next year, but BSU losses just about everyone to graduation. They have a very "senior heavy" team this season.

I do hope so. While Boise will be losing a bunch, the Rebel Bears will have a new QB. Should be interesting.

They didn't play as much as they got played. I am thinking in terms of their current media blitz.

Exactly. If they can't fill their 60,000 seat stadium at home then they won't need many seats on the road.

Nope. They are the Ole Miss Rebel Black Bears. They will still be called the "Rebels" but will have a black bear as a mascot. Makes loads of sense....

Alabama has a story behind its mascot. What's Ole Miss's? The administrators wanted to be politically correct? Bama's came over time because people talking about stuff. Not from people being afraid to stand up for their university. Bama was given the name "Crimson Tide." Ole Miss was already the Rebels then decided that Colonel Reb was offensive, so they voted to have a black bear as its mascot.

Isn't the bear called the "Rebel Black Bear"? I could have sworn I heard that somewhere. I know they're still the Rebels with the bear as the mascot. I should've worded that post better.
