I've read, scrutinized, and contributed to all the "match up" threads, Cam Newton threads, our weakness threads, their weakness threads, etc.

The one thread topic that I'm amazed that I haven't seen is this one...

"Saban versus Chiznik"

I don't care how this year has gone to date for either team.

It no longer matters.

This is one game.

It's for the state championship.

I'll take Saban.

Bama wins this game in a rout. It won't be close.

48-20 BAMA. There's the "sip" prediction.

I know, I'm nuts.

I thought Cal would keep it close against Oregon as well. And look how dumb that turned out.

Just watch...and enjoy...

In a Saban vs Cheezit match up, I'll take Saban every time. The only thing is, this games gonna come down between Malzahn and McElwaine. Which ever one comes up with the best game plan for the offense, will win the Iron Bowl.

Sip, if $Cam turns it over a few times, you could be right. I don't havethe same optimism about it as you, but that outcome would sure brighten my weekend.

The Tide will score the barns D is not that good they are giving up almost 25pts per game. The match up between Saban/ Smart vs Malzahn i fill will be the key i see CJ being the spy on $Cam because of his speed.

Nah...sorry...

This game is Saban versus Chiznik...

There's much more to a game than offensive coordinator versus offensive coordinator.

It's the total package.

Top to bottom.

One on one.

We will kick their butt completely out of Bryant-Denny Stadium.

No, the real deciding matchup regardless of HCs or OCs or offense or defense is simply which team wants it the most. So far this season we have not played with intensity and urgency, this needs to happen Friday.

I agree....and again,

Saban versus Chiznik..

Which one is going to motivate his team to want it more?

I'll bet on Saban.

Two key concerns:

1. Line play
2. The need for more aggressive play calling. The Aub secondary is weak--we can't win if we don't exploit that. More misdirection, new routes, etc.

One thing about the Barn offense though is that not one team has stayed consistently sound in reading them. THose misdirections and trick plays can just as easily turn into 10 yard losses and last year that is how the AU offense would stall. Cam has been the difference but Bama has seen the style 3 times this year. I just hope Sip is as accurate as his Cal/Oregon call which I laughed off too.

Sip, I like your attitude, he took care of Tebow, I believe he has the schemes to make Cam think too much and not react as he has the past 11 games. I feel that we win by at least 2 TD's possibly more, if we can contain cheap shot Fairley, it may even be worse.

This is one of those games that I feel that Bama wants to shut some people up, while I give Cam a lot of credit for being great up to this point, he has not performed on the road like he has at home, when he gets in front of 102,000 plus, he will have a hard time communicating with his teammates, and I hope he gets frustrated and put on his backside more times than Brodie in the Iron Bowl in Auburn.

ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

48-34
There's mine!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sip,

I am a little concerned about you bottling feelings up and not sharing how you really feel. I think you should be more open with your opinion and more direct and confident in your statements. We are all Bama family here and if we can help you open up a little, just let us know.

Sincerely,

BJ4TIDE

No matter what scheme the Coach comes up with, if the players do not execute then it will not work too well. Maybe this will be that elusive complete game we have been searching for.

Yes. I don't doubt that CNS had a good scheme for every opponent we faced this year. That's the kind of coach he is.

If he and Chizik strapped it on and went at it one-on-one, I have little doubt that Saban kicks butt. But, as you say, about 35-40 players have to do their part, too. Here's hoping they can put it all together.
