Guys, when are we going to learn? It's January, this is the time when guys like Miles Fomby (who???) makes bank. I was sitting in a movie on an off-night ("The Fighter" is awesome and pretty realistic, btw ) and am getting texts from people about Calloway de-committing, going to the barn, etc. The sky isn't falling. Calloway will re-commit to Bama tomorrow night, I'd be stunned otherwise.

It could also be done in conjunction with our staff. If Calloway reaffirms, then it is a little more publicity for Bama. Not always the drama, but it could be to get Bama more attention amid all the other announcements.

I agree. If it were me having a big announcement about where I'm going to college, I'd be pretty embarrassed. Sure we want you to come play ball for our team, but have a little humility.

We are in a look at me generation. 20 years from now guys like Brent Calloway will look at young kids and say it wasn't like that when I was coming up. It will only get progressively worse I give the kid credit for being as quite as he has over a 2 year span.

yeah. I call it a google generation and I'm so old school. so i have had to numb myself to this stuff that develops seemingly every year. sometimes there is a shocker. but most times it is just a reaffirmation. so i'm not worried about it. you see this stuff every dang january. heck i even say one kid one year who announced he was commiting to a school that had not even offered him a scholarship just to get attention. but colloway has been a bama commit for a while now and i would be shocked to see anything different. we all just need to be calm. it will all work out in the end and we'll be good to go.
