For those of you who are interested, here's a thread that Earle started back in June 2009.http://www.tidefans.com/forums/foot...ght-about-gadsden-read-edit-opening-post.html
I am a tidefans Administrator and author of this thread. Administrators and Moderators are held to an even higher standard than members when posting information. What I post you can take it or leave it but my record says smart money is to take it I have very few misfires. Check who is authoring or posting in a thread before flying off the handle.Now, are we doing the same thing. We have this long "confession" with no documentation whatsoever. Anybody could have written and posted that. Why are our mods not pulling this for "rumor"?
I can't stop laughing at this. Thanks Bayou. The way my week has been I thoroughly needed a good laugh. LOL!!!
I have seen quite a few auburn posters on other sites bringing this back up so I reposted just so those who read it won't be as likely to believe what happened in Gadsden according to auburn. I believe between one and three of those in on the attempt were tried in court and would have to check with Earle if they were convicted or did any time.Bayou,
Anything in particular cause it to be brought up now? I couldn't find any postings elsewhere that were recent. Do you think it will be touched upon during the HBO special or part of the NCAA investigation?
Administrator, right....sorry Bayou, didn't mean to lump you in with those lowly mods.I am a tidefans Administrator and author of this thread. The links I posted earlier seem to indicate that at LEAST a few of them were found guilty... I just couldn't find a source that connected their RL names and their screen names.I have seen quite a few auburn posters on other sites bringing this back up so I reposted just so those who read it won't be as likely to believe what happened in Gadsden according to auburn. There's a big discussion on the Tiger Droppings thread, apparently there was an AU RB named Terry Henley, who also played in the NFL. I think they concluded that it is not the same person.Anybody know this guy? He was mentioned in the link. Name looks familar for some reason.
Terry James Henley of Gardendale
Ø Two counts of soliciting a public employee to use public property for private benefit;
Ø One count of conspiracy to solicit a public employee for private benefit;
Ø Five counts of obtaining criminal offender record information under false pretenses;
Ø Two counts of disseminating criminal offender record information;
Correct, different Terry Henley but I think This Terry Henley's wife or sister was also indited but not sure so don't bank that. She may have been the one who gave them access to the DMV files I'll try to check on that.There's a big discussion on the Tiger Droppings thread, apparently there was an AU RB named Terry Henley, who also played in the NFL. Yes, I believe there was also a female named Henley in the indictments.Correct, different Terry Henley but I think This Terry Henley's wife or sister was also indited but not sure so don't bank that. She may have been the one who gave them access to the DMV files I'll try to check on that.
Thanks for the help. I think Tiffany Danielle Horsley was fired from her job for her actions and that was the end of it.Yes, I believe there was also a female named Henley in the indictments.
Edit--According to the original indictment, Tiffany Danielle Horsley of Gardendale, former dispatcher for Adamsville Police Department. I would guess she is the one that had access to LETS. Charlotte M. Henley of Gardendale charged with one count of obtaining criminal offender record under false pretenses.
Nothing came up under that name in an alacourt.com search....Thanks for the help. I think Tiffany Danielle Horsley was fired from her job for her actions and that was the end of it.
YUP, Bayou is a long time Mod. This tells me this is NOT rumor.Just a wild guess here, but probably because one started the thread.![]()
What would be interesting and fun would be if some internet super sleuth could match up the names with the online handles. Good times.The later link to the ACJIC announcement (I can't get it to work now) listed the six defendants that had either pled guilty or been convicted. I was trying to see if her name was there, I don't remember, but again it won't open for me now.
Edit--Okay I finally got it to work again and the former dispatcher is not one of the six defendants in the announcement.
Speaking of letterheads both Tennessee and Auburn had letters with NCAA letterheads on them saying Alabama would be out of business in less than two years and showing recruits. Santonio Beard blew the whistle on this when Fullmer flashed his. I don't recall who told on Auburn.YUP, Bayou is a long time Mod. This tells me this is NOT rumor.
Also, this stuff sounds like some of the political miscreant activity of the past. Making up phony stories about political opponents and propping them up with connections in the media. Remember when someone dummied up some stationary with Sen. Hubert Humphrey's letterhead and wrote this racist piece that ultimately low balled his campaign against Nixon? Sen. Humphry was a right honorable man and would never have thought things that were in that letter, let alone write them. This kind of stuff is rampant in our society and in all systems of business, politics and well, you name it and subterfuge is there. In Canada they have laws against this kind of stuff and people who make up lies about others can and will be prosecuted. If we could get something similar happening on the books in the U.S. we might be able to have a little more trust in what we hear in the media as being factual.
It would be interesting if you followed ITAT, but I didn't so the on-line names wouldn't really mean anything to me. I am curious though if the author of the mea culpa was one of the ones indicted and if so, if it helped him/her out.What would be interesting and fun would be if some internet super sleuth could match up the names with the online handles. If I remember right he was not one of the indited. Guess he bailed out in time but he was an original member of the strike force.It would be interesting if you followed ITAT, but I didn't so the on-line names wouldn't really mean anything to me. Sounds like his lawyer gave him good advice.If I remember right he was not one of the indited. Guess he bailed out in time but he was an original member of the strike force.
