Mine are all "in-person" games.

Sugar Bowl loss v. notre dame. (73 was it? 74?) Yeah, I know...but that's the only Bama game my Dad & I ever got to see together. He died about a year after this game when I was 15.

Bama-KY, 1980. Hot as Hades @ Legion Field, but was my 1st ever Bama game as a student. The Cats had no answer for EJ Junior. Of course, nobody had much of an answer for EJ Junior...:)

Every Iron Bowl back when it was in Legion Field w/ the stadium divided roughly half good guys & half Aubies. ;) Electric environments every year. Much fun! (Even when Darth Dye led his minions to victory now & then...)

Bama@UF, late 70s. Score was only something like 40-0, but that's because Coach pulled the starters early on. Steadman Shealy & Major Ogilvie barely broke a sweat that day before they were watching from the sidelines. I thought I might wind up playing QB if the game hadn't ended so soon. That was a Bama NC team, and a pitiful Gator team (which is how I prefer Gator teams, thank you. ;) )

Sugar Bowl loss to Miami (90, was it?). I know, but that's the 1st game mrs. exiled & I got to attend after moving back south from the football vacuum that is Indiana.

Bama-Ole Miss, Jackson, Fall 1989. Our 1st year living in MS. 21-7 Rebs early; 49-21 Tide shortly after. Total domination, after a slow start.

Sugar Bowl win over Miami (93, for the title). Awesome. Partially b/c I went w/ my Pa-in-law. We had a blast!

Iron Bowl loss in BDS (forget the year, but ~3-4 years ago). I know, but my son & I got tix went to the game by ourselves; I drove up from here, & he drover over from Oxford, MS.

Bama-Penn St. in BDS, mid 80s; good guys won 6-0 IIRC. Cornelius Bennett had like 48 tackles that day. (seriously, it was toward 20 as I recall). The last of the great defensive struggles. Slobber-knocking all over the field, w/ guys getting dragged off, patched up & sent back in. Loved it!

Coach Bryant's 315th W (speaking of IBs @ Legion Field.)

My next one, whenever mrs. exiled & I come up w/ a pair of tix.

Roll Tide!

The 2005 Florida game for me. About midfield 32 rows up. Perfect seats. The only negative to the game was losing Prothro.

Now this is where I wish the universities could do something for a kid. He should have been taken care of IMO, sorry I know it sounds wrong to some but you see these thugs getting all kinds of goddies & a classy kid like this struggles.

Alabama vs Miami '92 National Championship. We got real relaxed in the French Quarter that afternoon and, by game time, felt that Bama would win. Bought tickets outside the Dome and it was a Crimson Tide from then on. The holes the offensive line opened were incredible.

This year's GA Southern will be. It will be the first game that I attend with my 5 year old triplets. I cannot wait to see their reaction to the Elephant Stomp and when the Tide takes the field. We are on the front row-not good for watching the game, but good for the boys to see warmups (close to restroom and concession, too).

1982 Liberty Bowl.

My brother and his wife lived in Memphis and she had taught at Ill so we had tickets in the middle of the Illini end zone. They were pretty rude until the end of the game and then became very quiet. Still have my ticket stub in case people don't believe me.

For just a fun atmosphere I'd say the '99 opener with BYU. It was a high scoring game where Shaun Alexander had 5 touchdowns. There's something about Bryant-Denny at night.
Ahh, I remember
all the cramping by byu in that game...i even blacked out for a second when fernando intercepted a pass..it was hot and it was loud

1979 Sugar Bowl: Penn State-"The Stop"

1982 Liberty Bowl: I ordered tickets before Coach announced his retirement. It was amazingly cold in
Memphis. When coach came out most didn't recognize him.( He was wearing a big
insulated coat and a tan ball cap). The game lasted longer than it probably should
because BAMA used all the times out in the fourth quarter..(I am convinced the team
didn't want it to end). My wife and I sat there after the game for 30-45 minutes
after it ended, just couldn't leave.

The 2005 Florida game was very memorable for me. We were in the Florida section and they were harassing us before kick off. I call the long td pass to Prothro. I told my friend that was with me Prothro has single coverage then, boom Touchdown BAMA! At the half the Fl fans were yelling at their own guys and by the end the main guy that was harassing us so bad was sitting with his head in his hands about to cry. Of course it was bitter sweet loosing Pro and all but a great game.

Without a doubt it was the 1999 Florida game in Gainesville. I went to the game with my brother and one of my best friends and we met my cousin down in Gainesville (he was a UF student but a Bama fan). Everyone, and I mean everyone, that knew I was going to the game told me I was wasting my time and money by going (we had just lost to Louisiana Tech a couple of weeks earlier).

We drove down, camped out in an RV, tailgated, and had a great time. And the game was one of the most exciting games I've ever seen. When Shaun Alexander broke loose on 1st down in overtime, he was running right at us (we were in the corner of the endzone). It was an amazing game and I don't think I've ever celebrated so much after a game as that one. It was literally pandemonium in the bama section after the game. The players came back out of the locker room to celebrate with the fans also.

After the chaos died down and my group was eating pizza and watching sportscenter, i snuck away to find a quiet place so i could call the girl i had been dating for a couple of months. It was at that moment that I realized that I must have been in love. Been married to her for about 10 years now.

Sorry I got a little long winded, but my goodness that was a great weekend!

2007 Arky. What an amazing game capped off by an unreal touchdown catch with seconds remaining. The winning touchdown was right in front of me as well. Roll Tide!
