Game Thread: Oklahoma - Oklahoma State

A note to all you "we had our chance" folks...

THAT'S NOT THE FREAKING POINT.

The purpose of the BCS is to match up the two best teams. The voters are ethically bound to make that consideration. If they honestly think OSU is better, then so be it. But the neverending talk on Twitter, talk radio and op-ed pieces for weeks is about the "interesting" match up between the Pokes and the Tigers. That's what has me upset, and it should have you upset, too. Don't denigrate your own team by suggesting we somehow blew it. Yes, we put ourselves in this position, but the position we're in shouldn't disqualify us, especially juxtaposed against a team, no matter how flashy the offense, that lost to a 6-6 Iowa State.

If the BCS game is between OSU and LSU, I will literally not watch one blast second of the game. In fact I will lock out the channel for the night so that I don't get tempted to watch it. I have no interests in watching a massarce on live tv. Let's face it OSU will get slaughter Michigan State 2011 Capital One Bowl Style.

No one is saying that they are actually throwing the game - we are just saying that OU is playing so bad that it looks that way. Be honest have you ever seen a team play this bad?[/QUOTE

It's been said more that once in the last few pages...go back and look.

It does have me upset. It's like these people take their brains out of their heads when they make their points.

I think most assume that will happen because the computers have ranked the B12 SOS so high...which looks like an even bigger joke than I thought. I'm not surprised Texas Tech beat the Sooners after watching this epic disaster.

Like I said they may gain some votes and it might be closer than we'd like but I think we'll still get in...I just don't see how a win over a team this bad could be considered a "great win" in terms of getting to the BCSCG...

I agree. All this game proves is that OSU is the best team in a watered-down conference that plays ZERO defense. I have NO interest in even anticipating a team that ranks 107 (or whatever it is) in total defense playing for a national championship.

Todd Blackledge is the ONLY media person saying Bama and Lsu are the best 2 teams in the country...
That isn't true - most have said that they feel that Alabama is the 2nd best team. The only problem has been that some are against (1) a rematch, (2) 2 teams from same conference in BCSCG or (3) a non-conf champion.

That's what I've been screaming. You're supposed to vote for the 2 best teams; not the matchup you want to see, not to vote against a rematch, not who's offense is better. If the voters truly feel that OSU is better than I'm cool with it. But if they vote that way and bring up the fact that they didn't want to see a rematch then I'm gonna be really ticked off!
