You'd think so huh? I agree, most people wouldn't be able to figure out which is real and which isn't anyways. Have the real one in Bryant where it wont be touched, then have the knock off on display.

I don't really care who it was that did it, unless it was on purpose. It was an accident, I'm sure there is some shared blame and I'm loving the "don't worry, we'll get another one soon" replies. I more feel bad for the person than anything else.

For something as important as the BCS NC, it should be solid Gold, but I'm sure someone would steal it and melt it down. Maybe it should at least be Gold plated.
The guy who did it should have to put it back together. Man would that be embarrassing.
They do need to make the trophy out of something that's more LONG LASTING! Maybe stainless steel or silver.
The Iron Bowl winner should receive an official Football made of Iron in B'ham. I'll bet that would not break. It may rust!

The 2009 trophy was, at least at one time, on display in the second floor window of the football complex looking towards Bryant Dr.
