Well...we do shout "Roll Tide" after they announce a 'Bama first down. This would be WAY down the list of TP dead trees and yelling Whoo Pig Souiee - or whatever it is they say.

One that always irritates me for some reason is the Razorback's cheer after they get a first down. AND THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR AN ARKANSAS....FIRST DOWN!! I figure that just getting the first down is such an accomplishment in itself that that have to cheer about it...

In 2002, when Alabama beat Arkansas to a pulp in Fayetteville (which seems to be a tradition in itself now), the Alabama fans started hollering "And that's another Arkansas .. FOURTH DOWN!" after the defense kept shutting them down.

Most of the really bad ones have already been mentioned. Auburn has an entire collection of bad cheers ("Botta Getta" or however it's spelled), the kickoff ripoff cheer, Halloween TP-rolling of trees, etc. Stanford's tree appeals to stoners but it really is dumb. The Texas A&M cheer section, complete with the mirage that it's a military school. Ole Miss' Hotty Totty cheer and the die-hard devotion to The Grove -- aka an oversized tailgate party with wine, nothing more -- may take the cake. Former UA SID Barry Allen had his own version that I particularly liked: "Hotty Totty, goshamighty, when's Ole Miss gonna beat somebody?"

The one I despise the most is the shaking of car keys. I never saw this ridiculosity until I lived up north, so maybe it's a northern thing. I suppose it means "game over, let's go home," but to me it means "I'm such a pansy I can't figure out how to appropriately yell for my team."

OSU fans were doing that in the independence bowl in 06. I had never seen that before and found it to be not only annoying, but sad.

You must not realize that our Rammer Jammer derived from the Ole Miss Hotty Toddy cheer. :)
Actually I do. Never liked that either. I have always thought it was classless and unsportsmanlike. I usally keep that to myself though :) However, just the two words Hotty Toddy together is enough to put it over my edge and laugh at it.
