Game Thread: AFC Championship: Baltimore vs. New England

That was a seriously manly hissy fit! :) FWIW I thought it was the right call, didn't affect the outcome though.

On topic, Ravens - Patriots is looking pretty boring thus far (had it on in the background - not watching all that closely). Either way we get a couple of Bama defensive players in the SB.

Never mind, started watching more closely, it's actually a pretty good chess game. I think whoever wins will probably beat San Fran due to superior defense.

Dang! Sorry the Pats didn't get this one - but Flaco reminded me of a young Peyton Manning tonight.....that's a force to be reckoned with.

Ray Lewis is a dirt bag and karma has a way of evening things up. We'll see...

I'm a Colin Kaepernick fan for the next game.

Heard that Belichick blew off the CBS reporters after the game - refused to do the post game interview. Talk about a poor sport.

I don't understand this. San Francisco has probably had the best defense in the NFL the past two seasons.

He's just probably starting The Process for next year. He may not have a 24 hour rule. Someone needs to blow off the inept Te'oing media.

Seriously? Please tell me where that's the responsibility of Harbaugh or any head coach.

Heck, I've seen Coach Saban have some flat out tantrums on the sidelines so the whole "think of the children" mentality is ridiculous.

Seriously! My grandkids would say, "Papa, why didn't someone give him a fruit snack." I guess he was trying to emphasize a point with someone. I do agree that Coach Saban has shown
emotion in instances, but I think Coach Harbaugh has one-upped him.

I just noticed on ESPN earlier today where Coach Gottfried former Bama Basketball coach is related to the Harbaughs (2nd cousin) and as well as the basketball coach at Indiana is married to a Harbaugh (I think). Why couldn't he get him to visit Bama to play football instead of Michigan.

So part of the Harbaugh family is going to be disappointed after the Super Bowl. I just think as a mother or father, you'd be very proud but you'd just want both teams to play well. So, will this game end in OT (maybe several OT's).

I see where most of the talking heads are picking SF to win, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. I haven't watched the 49ers much this season; I was basing what I said mostly on watching their game vs. the Falcons. SF gave up a whole lot of passing yards to Atlanta, and both teams seemed like they were having trouble stopping the other on defense. You could argue that's just because the Falcons have a good offense, but the Ravens are not too bad on offense either and are playing extremely hot right now. Defensively I think you have to say Baltimore had a better showing against NE than SF did against Atl. But that could be just a fluke. Will probably be a good game and with brothers coaching against each other, this could be one of the more interesting Super Bowl matchups.
