2014 BCS Championship Team tickets available now

Someone please give me direction. So, the current bid is $358 per ticket including fees and such. The face value is $325. So, does that mean per ticket I'm looking at approx. $685 for one ticket???

and here is the kicker.....
If your team does NOT qualify for the game, you will NOT receive a refund for the price of your TeamTix nor will you have the right to purchase face value tickets to the game.

You are taking a big gamble if you don't have money right now that you could do something like this. Basically, it's the price right now per ticket plus any fees that will be charged to your CC, then should Bama make it, an additional charge for the face value ticket per how many ordered. Should Bama not make it, then you are SOL on the money it cost you if you did step one and you don't get a chance to go to the game.

but remember that you can sell out of the market at any time. Teams like UGA and FSU have some pretty good value right now. Their fans probably haven't noticed that they are available with NSD going on.

I would definitely do it if $100 or under, but over $300 is just too step for my tastes.

I know. Right now they're $766 for two, and that's just the registration. Face value added in that's $1116 for two tickets.

Question - are end zone seats the only ones available? That's all I can find, but I know from other years different levels were available.

Seems like all they are doing now are endzone. Maybe there will be premium seating later, but there is no indication of that anywhere.

I went to the game in 2010. Now that I think about it does the Rose Bowl even have premium club-type seats? You would think every stadium (especially the Rose Bowl) would have something, but it's so old. I'll have to take a look at pictures and such, but I don't recall a 2nd level or upper deck of any type.

This is not a value buy right now for Alabama fans, IMO. Alabama has been in this game 3 times in the last 4 years and this game will be all the way out in California. Ticket prices for a stadium this size on Stubhub will likely be at or near this price - maybe lower.

Remember that the Rose Bowl seats over 100k. The Orange Bowl and Sugar Bowl are a little over 75k. The Fiesta is around 65k. The extra 12,500 tickets per side will be huge. Also remember that you cannot realistically drive to Pasadena, so the tickets will not be nearly as scarce. The other wildcard is who our opponent would be. How well do they travel and are they bidding up the tickets.

As I recall the Rose Bowl tickets from StubHub, etc three years ago were nowhere near what this year's BCS tickets for us and ND were. I would hesitate to get locked into a premium now when they could me more reasonable closer to the game. As has been mentioned the Rose Bowl is a dump of a stadium.

Sent the link to family who has gone to all the BCS games somehow. Here is their response to this...

Don't get me started...Chris tried ordering some this morning and the website kept timing out...meanwhile they went ahead and transmitted the charge something like 11 times. Which means there's a hold of almost 1500 on our checking account. I'm so ticked off its not even funny. There's no phone number to call so I've sent multiple emails with no response. To make matters worse...there's no guarantee that the order really went through!

DO NOT BUY THESE RESERVATIONS TO BUY TICKETS!!!! Seriously though, I was looking at tickets, good, solid, 20-35 yard seating tickets on the bama side in september and october (way early in the season) on ebay, and those tickets were around $700 each. just saying, better seats, no gamble on losing money, just shop early. that's all i'm saying.

Rose bowl is now in the 92000 range these days.They removed around 10000 seats for soccer a while back.

Kiffin will have USC in the game, so that should jack up the price due to local demand.

I have used Teamtix for two years now. No problems. Everyone says......the ticket prices will go down when you get closer to the game. Well, they do not. Alabama travels well. Pasadena is an awesome location. Notre Dame and Alabama was a high priced ticket and demand was strong. I will say this......there are risks involved that are noted in this thread. But I have never had a problem with the site. They have been very reliable in the past in my dealings with them.

When I checked first thing yesterday morning, the reserve fee was $110 per ticket. I almost jumped on it, but didn't.
