Where do you like to go for BBQ?

When I come home to Alabama next week, I will make it a point to get some Bunyan's BBQ to eat.

I used to love Johnny Rays in Homewood. Not even sure if its still there. I also like that place on 82 between Montgomery and Tuscaloosa.

I like P. Reds in Atlanta. not exactly my favorite place, but it is close to my current job and it is better than Fat Matt's which is also close to work.

Saw's Soul Kitchen or the original in Homewood. At the Soul Kitchen, there's the famous Pork, Greens and Grits.

Top Hat isn't what it used to be, but it's good.

Big Daddy's in Warrior is widly underrated - don't sleep on it.

I'll be honest - when Jim and Nick's is on, it's great. Had takeout from there yesterday and it was fantastic. The company's community involvement is great, too. Same for Full Moon.

Love The Shed in Ocean Springs -- haven't been to the new one -- have been to the one that burned down a while back -- it was a little dingy -- not sure the Health Dept would have approved, but the food was pretty awesome.

One in Mobile sucked...you couldn't tell what you were eating, it all tasted the same...I mean it ALL tasted the same; beans, potato salad, chicken, ribs, pork...might as well have put it all in a blender. Glad it closed.
Never been to the one in OS. But the best BBQ in Mobile was always Rodger's (I think technically one of them is in Prichard, and the other in Chickasaw or Saraland).

I enjoy SAW in Homewood.

There is a gas station in Pell City that smokes bbq by the side of the store, right off US231. They have a sign on I20 advertising Butts To Go. I really like their bbq. Their smoked chicken wings are dang good too.

Dreamland & Archibald's for history's sake when we get over to TTown; Stonewall's here in Hburg for good 'cue.

We had a Shed branch up here in H'burg for a while (we're about an hour north of Ocean Springs.) I rated it as OK just because it was BBQ. I find the Shed's food very overrated (true of the original too imo.)
