I think he's a great QB, but he's not Heisman material. Regardless of how you slice "most outstanding player," McCarron hasn't accounted for 200 total yards in most of Alabama's games this year. Manziel has over 300 in every game except Rice -- where he played exactly 1 1/3 quarters (and threw for 3 TDs). Statistics have to count for something, and at his position this year -- in the conference and nationally -- AJ just doesn't have any stats that are outstanding.

I'm not sure who is in the lead on this, but does Nissan honor this if Winston gets the votes and then is charged?
I truly wish AJ would get the attention he so rightfully deserves.
