How much trouble did we have with the cockiest mobile QB in college football in years in Manziel?
Quite a bit, actually. It got really old watching him escape pressure. But we're a different team now.

Edit: I think I originally misread the intent of your post, and now agree with you.

How much trouble did we have with the cockiest mobile QB in college football in years in Manziel? IMO - we're much better in the front 4 than we were then, but I expect Watson to give us some trouble. We should win this game, but Watson projects much more like the QB that gives us problems than Cook does, IMO.

38-28 good guys.
I'm talking about their team. Texas A&M never exhibited some of the stuff I saw from Clemson the other night. Oh Watson? Heck he is a better player than Manziel although I don't know if his skill set is quite so "unorthodox," if you will.

Watson may be on point next week but it might not matter if most of Clemson's team comes strutting into the stadium like they're the best team since the 1992 Miami Hurricanes. We all remember how they did in their bowl game, right? That's the kind of thing I'm referring to.

It may be close at the half, but I think our front seven on defense is just too much for them. Watson isn't as accurate when he is running for his life, and he should be doing that from the get-go.

Hey man, no harm intended. We had an influx of ...... trolls on our biggest board today and I've been reading through some of the musings over here.

My overall impression is this is a much more civil board than most, however, I believe I saw a poster on this very thread make the claim that Coker was better than Watson.

These teams look pretty evenly matched IMO, but I'm predicting a sloppy game that's closer than the score would indicate. Hope you're having a great new year!

edit: Didn't know rhymes with rammer was profanity here. Apologies.

I'll bite - Why do you think Clemson will win, and how do you think they will muster 38 points?

Turnovers mainly. We'll sell out to stop the run and force Coker to pass. The only problem is the Clemson secondary is a bit more formidable than Sparty's.

A couple of short field situations can lead to quick points.

No it really isn't you. Believe me.

You know, I agree with you. Clemson's secondary is better than MSU's but against what competition. Let's be honest. It isn't like the ACC is the best conference in football. When you struggle to be the worst team in the SEC, that has to be troublesome. Yes, USCe was worst than Vanderbilt. Clemson has been giving up a little bit too much on the defensive side of the ball. Oklahoma, which did play their way in to the playoff so I got to give them credit, was probably the worst team to make it there in the two years of the CFP. Don't expect Bama to turn the ball over. If you are expecting it, even with your team -1 in turnover ratio it is going to be a long night for you guys.
