Glad they got the guy. Really inept bomber. He survived the arrest so maybe we can get some info from him as to motive and helpers if any.

I don't buy into this "new normal". It can be fixed.

I hope so - we'll see.

Right off the bat I see in all the media reports all the government people are patting each other on the back for catching this turkey....yet...it was a private citizen (just like in Boston) who found him and called it in. Then...the 2 cops who responded were promptly shot by the perp.....and were it not for a bullet proof vest worn by the one who was shot - we would have had a dead cop.

Then...no where in any of the press conferences (including the POTUS's statement) did I hear anything that resembled getting the public involved.

So I guess one could surmise those in "charge" still feel it is their job(s) alone to fight terrorism. We should just listen to the pressers.....and do what we are told.

They got this.

I thought sure his name would be Bob Jones, Charles Smith, or something like that.
US citizens are allowed to have non-Caucasian names.

The fact is that the vast, vast majority of domestic terrorism is conducted by US citizens, not immigrants. How is closing the border going to prevent radicalization of Americans?

Donald Trump said:
The bad part. Now we will give him amazing hospitalization. He will be taken care of by some of the best doctors in the world. He will be given a fully modern and updated hospital room. And he’ll probably even have room service, knowing the way our country is. And on top of that he will be represented by an outstanding lawyer.
So Donald Trump thinks we should leave a US citizen on the street to die instead of providing medical care, and also deny him a reasonable legal defense? He later seems to advocate for torture of a US citizen, but we crossed into unconstitutional territory way before that.

Well after learning a little more about all this, apparently this guy doesn't even believe in the Constitution and hates America. All he talked about was how western culture is toxic and how there weren't gays back home in Afghanistan. Just here to ride the gravy train that America provides for leeches.

As I've said before, there's a difference between being an American citizen, and being an American. However, there is no distinction being made between the two....and that's part of the problem. Hell, we'll let anybody or anything be an American citizen now.

Here we have radical muzzy deadbeat that won't pay child support and just lets the taxpayers pay to raise his children. Hates western culture and everything American stands for, including our Constitution, and tries to blow up innocent people just for being American and kill cops. And we're supposed to worry about this guy's boo-boo and provide him a lawyer?

Again, there's no distinction being made between the Middle East's own garbage like this guy, and a natural born, blue-blooded, honest, hard working, Patriotic, tax paying, American..... who will not only sacrifice everything to defend this nation and what it stands for, but already have. That's why people are ....ed off and they've had enough. The result will be seen in November.

Another deadbeat who hates America, relies on the taxpayers to pay for their children, and uses the system to ride the gravy train while playing the victim all at the same time. In other words, another liberal. No wonder the left are so worried about protecting evil scum like this.

The moment we start removing civil liberties from some American citizens that the government believes does not deserve them, we may as well burn the whole document.

Since he's a citizen, we have to provide the civil liberties to this piece of trash that he hates. I think what the election this fall will come down to is do we want to keep importing and making citizens of people from these areas by the hundreds of thousands with little or no vetting, or do we want to be extremely selective of who we let in.

Nonsense. The government shouldn't be deciding who is or who isn't protected by the Constitution. The people should be deciding. The document is for the people to begin with, not the government, to protect people's rights from the government.

The government is what's letting people like this in here to begin with. They know who they are, and they know they're waiting to commit attacks like this. It's all part of another failed social experiment at the expense of American lives. I'm convinced radical Islam is nothing more than a political movement under the guise of religion....so it's protected.

If we can't seem to decipher the difference between Americans, and people here intent to do harm and not to assimilate, then it's time to start being a lot more discriminate about who we let call themselves American citizens in the first place.

He was just a child when he came to America. What kind of ideological vetting would you use to exclude children?

It sounds more like you're arguing that the Constitution is a document for the people... who don't have scary sounding names.
