Re: Plain Trouble on "Da Plains" (all AU posts here)

I usually pull for ALL SEC teams to win bowl games with ONE EXCEPTION! I will continue doing that.

Just think how much tissue paper was wasted that could have been used for its intended purpose instead of being wasted because someone in West Georgia was jealous!

Jealousy/envy

Jealousy is an emotion, and the word typically refers to the thoughts and feelings of insecurity, fear, concern, and anxiety over an anticipated loss of status or something of great personal value, particularly in reference to a human connection like FOOTBALL. Jealousy often consists of a combination of emotions such as anger, resentment, inadequacy, helplessness and disgust. In its original meaning, jealousy is distinct from envy, though the two terms have popularly become synonymous in the English language, with jealousy now also taking on the definition originally used for envy alone. Jealousy is a typical experience in human relationships, especially football. It has been observed in infants five months and older. Some claim that jealousy is seen in every culture; however, others claim jealousy is a culture-specific phenomenon to those residing in West Georgia.
Jealousy can either be suspicious or reactive especially when Big Brother makes it to the NC and little brother does NOT possess the talent to get there!

I will never cheer anyone on in the SEC anymore. They had their last chance now I'm done.

I never understood the SEC thing anyway. I will admit that if Bama can't win the conference, I would rather see LSU win it. Don't ask me why but I have always liked them even though most of y'all don't. I also don't care how the conference fairs in the bowl games.

Backing this - must be my NOLA roots but yeah.

Re: Plain Trouble on "Da Plains" (all AU posts here)

something has been in the works since gus made the announcement that he was given up the offensive play calling. They assumed their season would crash and burn and it would be easy to get rid of Lashlee

I actually think it's a good move for Lashlee. If he succeeds at UConn, he'll be a very hot commodity. He recruits well and it's fertile ground where Gus's offense hasn't been figured out yet, so he very well could.

Won't be Briles, but given the timing, there's little doubt Gus has someone lined up.

Actual photo.

Every Auburn fan I know, including my daughter, thought this was the most classless thing they have seen. I agree. But we are talking about Barners here.

Like most of you here, my initial reaction was wow, that's pretty sad and pathetic. After a day to reflect on it, the only explanation I came up with is that after several seasons of high expectations, Barn fans must have an over abundant supply of toilet paper and need to deplete the stock a bit. Maybe Dub can confirm. I had heard that "technically" Lashlee was calling the plays, but Gus simply couldn't stay out of it. So much so that is back to what it was prior to the decision to give up play calling to Lashlee.
Auburn fans I know we're saying after Ole Miss game, it was Gus really calling the majority of the plays.

I am not bound to SEC but I do like (my, our) conference to do well. I pull for most SEC teams depending on who has a hoodlum team at the moment or a hoodlum HC.

You are at Ground Zero on this but to me this is a backward move. Half as much money and half as much prestige, to say the least. Oh, and that 40,000 seat stadium that draws around 15,000 is a downer too.

Doesn't sound like a "his choice" unless there was some sort of rift between him and Moozahn and he just wanted out.

He needs to get away from Gus. He's coached his entire career under him and as a result carries the rep of being nothing but a clipboard holder. For him, it might end up being a great career move assuming he's successful.
