The third tweet where she "used" the n word? She tagged her friend to a tweet originally tweeted by a fake Bill Nye account.

Cam's defenders trying to excuse his behavior because something she tweeted 3-5 years ago is beyond ridiculous.

Indeed. My first reaction when I heard about this the other evening was that the reporter should have simply shrugged it off. Don't bring any unnecessary attention to yourself. Of course, the attention would probably have happened regardless.

Yea, IMO they are 2 unrelated issues. She could have said the worst thing in the world 3 or 5 years ago and it wouldn't matter.

The most ridiculous one I've seen is that this is only happening because he is black. That if Brady had done this that there would be no negative reaction. I have to disagree with that.

I just think he was surprised to hear a woman ask him the question. And that was it.


My point is, it was made into too much of a big deal. I hate that people have to be so careful of what they say now. I mean they don't want to "offend" someone. :rolleye2:

I'm glad to know the press is more offended and thinks this little fluff is a story and yet has nary a word to say about Michael Bennett lying his Ash off about police.

But should he have been that surprised? She's been covering the team for a year now. There are numerous female football reporters. This wasn't Cam's first time around a female football reporter.

It would have been one thing if she asked a very complex question. She simply asked about routes.

The "I Did My Research" scene in Silver Linings Playbook (can't link it due to language, sorry) where Tiffany defends herself against charges of fouling up the Eagles juju is so awesome specifically because of the juxtaposition of the expectation of low female sports knowledge with high knowledge in practice. It works so well because it's not the norm.

But I assume you would agree that there’s a difference between having an “academic” understanding and having learned through actual experience playing the sport.
