Sorry, watching the recorded game now so I can't read back through the thread. About to start the 4th and so far MSU has Fitzgerald broken, 15 interceptions against, 4 possible interceptions for all of which are dropped. It's 17-6 and I'm miserable.

Ole Miss has won the last two times at Starkville now. Would have been much different though if Fitzgerald wouldn't have gotten hurt. His backup wasn't very good. Sometimes teams rally around an injury and other times collapse. MSU was definitely deflated after the injury. They finally made a game of it at the end but too late.

No other Mississippi State coach (in my lifetime) has had six winning season in a row. State ought to do what it takes to keep him if they want to go bowling 8 or 9 times a year ----- or admit they want to be like Vandy.

Well, this kills Alabama's resume. Can't even count on MSU to beat a horrid Ole Miss team.

Yeah it hurts the resume but I still say the committee takes into account Fitz going down early and a true freshman playing the rest of the game. Bama needs to win out regardless and will keep the number 1 seed. Can't even see Miami jumping Bama if they win out. Lose a game this late now and all bets are off on how teams get seeded.
