My fears before the game were turnovers and UK offensive rebounds. Turnovers weren't that bad except for the end of the game but the rebounding killed Bama. Missed free throws added up too; enough to where the game could have played out differently with a tighter score near the end.

That was a very weak finish to a decent effort. We showed promise at times in the second half but kept running into the same problems- lack of rebounding and horrible free throw shooting. Still, both teams look talented but pretty average, which is somewhat expected when they are two of the youngest teams in the country. Ok, let's see some good golf at Riviera now.

If I dream tonight, it'll include UK getting an offensive rebound with our guards' shoes glued to the floor. It boggles the mind how we played the last 10 minutes of the game with four smalls and Hall with four fouls as we got murdered on the boards. AB-SOLUTELY AMAZING! Did Giddens, Reese and Smith all get the stomach-flu all of a sudden (not like they didn't get beat out a few times themselves)? This was the most pitiful rebounding effort, in comparison the size we now have, that I remember.

The win was there for the taking in what will likely be our easiest remaining road game (Rupp or not), in what was a surprisingly well called game. I can't begin to figure out the brains of this team.

Nightmare ending to this one.

But it won't keep Alabama from the dance.
Agreed but that was about as pitiful job of rebounding I can ever recall. We won't beat many teams with that type effort and all rebounding is is want to. I have a feeling there will be a bunch of very physical rebounding drills in our next 2-3 practices.

It's tough to beat a good team on the road with some help from the refs. The refs blew the call on Petty's shot attempt with 1+ min left.
Can't agree there. I've seen atrocious officiating at Rupp, and this was as good as any opponent will get it there. This falls squarely on the guys who didn't want to rebound, and the coach who kept his best rebounders benched.

Poor defensive effort in this one. I didn't like playing them on a 4 game losing streak and them playing at home. The refs gave UK every break, but you get out rebounded by 20 and you deserve to lose. I thought for the most part we played well enough to win on offense, just another subpar defensive showing and another road loss. This won't help us, but it isn't a game that knocks us out of the tourney.

The fact is we match up mutch better with Auburn. Beat Auburn Bama.

Free throws are so freaking easy. Bend your knees, focus, stroke it. Our free throw shooting and rebounding were bad today. That was very frustrating to see us make some good plays here and there only to allow them to keep scoring after rebound, after rebound, after rebound, after rebound, etc.
Normal FT shooting would have only yielded 1 or 2 more points. It was about 6% below normal. Even at this rate it was better than CM's teams and Wimp's early teams.

I just saw the 2nd half, but the officiating looked OK to me. Yea, they missed some calls both ways, but it looked decent.

Bama's inside game hurt badly: rebounding all 2nd half and D the last 7-8 min. Then ball handling late killed any chance at the end. They looked good offensively til the last 3 or 4 min.
