Yeah, my Mississippi friends are really happy about this one. Glad they are in Savannah. Rather State than Ole Miss.

I feel the same way. Was hoping both teams could lose I guess the one positive thing about State winning is that they will stay ranked and help with BAMA's schedule of playing ranked teams. We just need both LSU and Texas AM to stay ranked. Not sure who I will pull for in that game. Should be a good game.

I dislike State less than I do Ole Miss, but I still don't like State. I used to have some friends who went to school there. I haven't been around them in years, but back then, and this was smack in the middle of the Shula era, their loathing of Alabama rivaled the worst Auburn fan's. We cheated at everything, according to them.

One thing that always pops in my mind: when I see stuff like this, I appreciate the players in the Iron Bowl. Even though the fans might act like idiots, the Iron Bowl is the cleanest rivalry out there IMO.

I dislike State less than I do Ole Miss, but I still don't like State. I used to have some friends who went to school there. I haven't been around them in years, but back then, and this was smack in the middle of the Shula era, their loathing of Alabama rivaled the worst Auburn fan's. We cheated at everything, according to them.

My nephew graduated from MSU, and every year when I was around him it was always about how good they were and when they lost it was always whining about injuries. He did try out for the team his freshman year (kicker - torn quad), but still....I love him to death (he’s my godson), but I hate MSU.
Ole Spit, OTOH, well... my name for them says it all.

I'm happy for Fitzgerald. I think they cheap shot him last year and Ole Miss acted a fool that entire game last year.


That fight at the end of the third quarter was inevitable and probably necessary at some level. When a guy mimes taking a leak like a dog after a touchdown, you can probably bet on some bad intentions the next time they see ya.

my daughter figured out how to find that (there are about 5 million versions) on pandora and knows that i dislike the song. it has been playing almost non-stop. it is occasionally interrupted by shake it off or whatever random princess song that pops up.

McGriff is a good coach and a good man. Hate that he left Auburn to go put his head on the chopping block in Oxford.

They have good enough players to not be completely defenseless - they may not be Alabama or MSU good on D, but the only reason they were as bad as they were this year is coaching.

Not surprising, but it's not going to fix anything. They don't have a head coach, and they don't have the ability to recruit. They're just starting a long journey to purgatory.
