Any word on Tua's recovery progress?

Just haven't seen anything, anywhere.

What we DID get to see (Award time) .. Tua was ahead of schedule on the scooter. I have film of the team Doc telling him he should go ahead and ditch the scooter and start walking. (Primarily because Tua was doing side wheelies with it lol.. ). But that's good.. he was able to walk earlier than expected with boot and didn't show signs of pain through that thick plastic boot.

Ultimately though... We won't know one way or another until they start some practice again where we can see how Tua's moving on that ankle. Saban isn't going to throw out 'free' updates as it's in Bama's benefit to keep Okie guessing who the heck will start making them split time prepping for both Jalen/Tua.

Either way .. Jalen was an anomaly .. So many of the team have had the same surgery and just about all of them were back on the field in 7-14 days. Tua has technically twice that.. but 21 days before real practice begins so he should really be full speed soon and COULD be really close to full speed as I type this.

Definitely hope you are right.

There is an extremely broad range of severity of the injury. Tua's ankle was scoped indicating that a ligament or cartilage was torn but not to the degree that would cause instability of the joint. I believe Jalen's injury was more severe and the treatment required more invasive.

Since we have so many Sooner lurkers, I will give them the inside scoop. Tua’s leg was amputated, Jalen is going to transfer a week from now and the Sooners should prepare for Mac Jones as QB. Now all of you go and report that to all the sooner coaches. Trust me.

I feel pretty confident that Tua will be ready. The wild card is Jalen. He showed me something against Georgia running and passing. He is night and day different from the last two years. No one knows how we will use both guys but I feel very confident. I do believe Oklahoma will bring blitzes and create chaos. Whichever guy is playing will have to make great decisions.

With the "Heisman Run" off the table I think you will see Jalen more in the game plan. He would have gotten more time the last few games if that factor had not been present. As it was I think the amount of time he got all year actually cost Tua the trophy due to stats but that is O.K. Had Jalen not gotten the time we probably would not have won the SECCG so it all worked out for the best. Seems Saban has a knack for that!

FWIW Dan Patrick said he's hearing Tua's chances of playing against OU are "iffy", which probably doesn't tell us very much since we could take it to mean that he will play IF he heals fast and he won't play IF progress is slow. We know that much already.

You forgot to add that Coach Saban is retiring after the game...

How the hell would he know that ? Does he have moles inside our program leaking information to him ?

Maybe Coach Saban leaked the info. Just sayin'...
So you're telling me Coach Saban leaked vital information to a shock jock about our most important player because they're personal friends or something ? Please expound on your answer. I can't wait to hear this.
