I thought it was Vinnie and not Sal.

Vinnie is definitely coming back as a GA. Sal is just rumored at this point.

I definitely remember that; just don't remember the details. I also remember a similar type situation with Lance Thompson. I was told we'd never see Jeremy or Lance ever again, but poof both reappeared. Coach Saban might not be as stubborn as we think or maybe the speculation is all wrong concerning coaches.

I believe his name was DeMarcus Walker.

I will say that Pruitt has seemed to be very non-confrontational since he has been at UTK. I wonder why?

Aaron Suttles said today on Bham radio that Bo Davis and Freddie Roach are names to keep an eye on. He said Bo Davis' show casue expires in April and Saban may bring him in. Roach was on off-field coach at Bama so he is familiar with the program and The Process. and is a good recruiter. I would take both of these hires.

I would also add that Coach is getting back to the folks he knows well. Leaning on the confidence of years of experience in old relationships might be what the doctor ordered.

So it looks like CNS did a thorough house cleaning of the offensive staff and is starting on the defense. What about Special Teams? Has Banks been shown the door yet? 113th in extra point success is crying for someone else that can actually fix the kicking game.

Devil's advocate - he was the STC for the guy that set the new program record for most PATs made (Bulovas - 75).

He can't kick the ball for the kid. Banks actually won the special team coach of the year. Our kick-off and punt return teams were really good and it seems we covered punts and kicks good also. A special team coach does a lot more than just coach punting and kicking.

L'Affaire Pruitt, as I recall, involved the poaching of at least one prized Alabama recruit -- a Jack linebacker, I believe, who turned out to be a stud at FSU. AlexanderFan came up with the name. DeMarcus Walker.

From what I remember JP said something to the effect that "CNS overworked his staff and was a pain to work. Not enough time with the family like Jimbo allows". I cant remember if that was something he said or someone secondhand quoting him. But I suspect he said it because Kirby stayed way longer than expected and he wanted to be the guy calling the defense. But I'm glad he came back, but would much have preferred never to see him in puke orange.

He's a professional it's not about personal issues it's about winning. I do believe that a line can be crossed you can't come back from, but it seems to be hard to reach that with CNS/

Maybe its because he isn't a backstabbing whiner like Kirby
