Frankly, I did not think he would ever reach the popularity that he has now. But you have to respect that PF has parleyed a one trick pony into a bigtime gig on ESPN. He is self made. He is one heck of an interviewer. Doesn't know the first thing about football though. I think he has cemented himself as an SEC guru nonetheless and suspect that the popularity of the conference he covers (not just Alabama and Auburn anymore) will keep him in funds for some time to come.He still cannot garner a national audience. His shtick doesn't sell outside of the South, and he doesn't seem to have a strategy to reach other viewers. At some point he will outlive his usefulness if he doesn't change.
