The play-calling from the two teams, on offense, so far tells me that Clemson is worried about LSU's defense, doesn't think they can just line-up and win consistently, and needs some creativity to be successful. LSU, on the other, believes they can just line-up and win consistently and just needs to give it time.

We'll see how right they are and how the two teams handle in-game adjustments, of course.

Though, aside from an LSU turnover leading directly to points, the game started about as well as it could have for Clemson and it's a tied ball-game at the end of the first quarter...

I've seen nothing to change my mind about my early read on this game - and, at this point, I don't really know how much in-game adjustments are going to help Clemson - unless, of course, LSU adjusts themselves backward.

Yeah, that is typical of every fan I have ever met. I think I've seen more complaining about officiating on this board this year than any other. I still wish they would get rid of replay and just let the refs call the dang game. There was less confusion and complaining in the days before replay. Of course, I also say they should get rid of ridiculous targeting calls that are just football plays. Sorry, I had to throw that in there. Hahaha.
