Depending on the source we are about to or already have blown by the projection of 32k by 9 AM PDT tomorrow.

After midweek I become less and less confident in the count as areas that are overwhelmed limit testing further (Why midweek? Most tests take a few days to result).

It will still take another 1-2 weeks to see if state imposed restrictions on gathering are helping the situation. In some areas we'll have to take the numbers with a grain of salt while in other areas it will be more reliable.

I saw one of the people at a drive up testing place leaning way into the car and thought, "I bet she isn't changing her PPE after each and every car." This is an issue that should be addressed by anyone seeing over any of these operations as that tester is now a vector for the next number of cars that pull up to be tested. If I were going to one of these places to be tested I would be watching for this type of behavior closely and if I could not be assured proper procedure was being followed I would just leave.

A colleague of Dr Saag is an acquaintance and recently tested positive. It took several tries to even get tested but recovery is going well. At least three people there have tested positive.

That site has trailed every other site in reporting for weeks. I stopped looking at it.

And yet I've watched worldometer's numbers go up and then back down several times today. JH lagging tells me they are being more careful/scrutinizing than the site whose number fluctuate. JH is probably more accurate on a daily basis but not moment to moment, but then the other is not terribly accurate either. Acknowledging those imperfections, we are still ahead of pace for the expected number for tomorrow.

This is a good point. My cardiologist wanted us to go to our PCP instead. His wife is our PCP, so the skids will be greased, so to speak. I'm just going to do my best to see that neither of us gets exposed...
