We are in the top 6 for Christian Leary and he is going to commit on June 6. He says Coach Saban compares him to Jaylen Waddle and from watching his junior year highlight video I see why. I hope we get this guy!!

Yes, how the hell does that happen??
It'll be interesting to see what the guys in the know have to say. He may be a guy we never had a shot with, I saw Auburn was his other 247 crystal ball predictions. I always hate to see us miss on top instate talent but with the current state of our class this miss hurts. I'm not being a debby downer and I fully expect a top 5 class when all is said and done but I hate missing this kid.

He grew up a Barner fan so it was a long shot for us anyway. A little better he is going to UT instead of the Barn. We will get most of the rest of the in-state recruits we want and other out of state 4* and 5*.

Without knowing, this was my suspicion and I agree would much rather him with Tennessee versus the barn. Of course the narrative will be Bama missed there top instate player but it is what it is.

Yep. Just like the narrative for the 5* kid from Oxford who signed with UGA a couple of years ago. Both his parents graduated from UGA.......

Pruitt is a good coach and recruiter as we found out at Bama. I don't think we had a chance with Brooks anyway, but Tennessee also has a commit from Jordan Mosley a WR out of Mobile. Right now Brooks and Mosley are their two highest ranking players. Unfortunately I think Pruitt will reach in Bama and pluck a couple good ones every year.

I agree. Basically their whole staff has Alabama ties and Pruitt has very good ties to the high schools so he is going to get his from time to time. I hope he does well except against us so he will be a serious candidate for our coaching position when Saban decides to retire.

it's kinda a trade off, as Bama will probably take a few from them as well

Who knows the kid's mindset and if he grew up all-barn that's even more of an enigma.

But, he can definitely step onto the field at Knoxville and be one of the better places from day one. Who knows? He couldn't have done that as easily at Auburn or Bama.

With the pandemic going on it’s hard to get a read on these kids. But hopefully once things get back to normal Bama can finish strong. How we bounce back on the field will be our greatest recruiting tool.

And the further narrative may find both parents testifying as UGa grads to his good character to keep him at least out of ... - OK, to keep him at least on the football team.

The UT faithful are crowing because they sit at #2 in the SEC in recruiting at the moment...............…..lets see where they are at the end of the affair and see if they still feel the same

It’s been a very very very very very very very very very very very very loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time since ut fans have had anything remotely positive happening within their football facility to be able to lift their oral-deficient heads up and crow about. Let ‘em have a moment. They’ll come crashing back down to reality when all is said and done. 😉

Yep. They will end up middle of the pack. That's really good unless you are in the SEC.

Maybe next season, but Jeremy just landed the no. 1 linebacker and number 10 overall player in the nation. He's making noise on the recruiting trail right now which is what it takes to build a program.
