Maybe. But ultimately it doesn’t matter. If he is on 2nd Mathis is the batter and we are going to be faced with the same thing.

Pache is an example of a highly touted prospect that the front office refused to trade away because “he’s so good”. Now his value will plummet because teams are seeing that maybe he’s not worth the hype. I don’t care how many highly touted prospects you have, if they never make it to the show then you’ve got nothing. Use their value as prospects to get some talented veterans to round out this team and go for a WS win!

Veterans cost more money. These bean counters running the Braves these days don't want to pay.....unless it is for an old pitcher that is 3 years past their prime..
