This is my daily driver work truck. 2008 F-150 XLT. Has the famous 4.2 liter 6 cylinder. 147000 miles.
The first vehicle I ever owned with electric windows and mirrors and cruise control. Bought it used in 2010.
Good truck. It replaced my 1998 F-150 XL that had 212,000 miles. The seebells keep their vehicles until they won't go anymore

We do, too. I have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in my lifetime buying reliable cars, repairing them myself, and driving them until they die. For me, a car/truck is a tool - nothing more.

I watched a guy IC Weld on YouTube. It is amazing the kinds of damage on heavy equipment he is called on to repair. Broken bolts inside large castings is a norm for him. In one case he welded a 1 in. steel pipe to a broken bolt buried deep in a major casting, all done in the field underneath a Caterpillar. By welding the pipe to the bolt on the ID of the pipe he was able to extract the bolt using a pipe wrench. Sorry unable to get back to the specific video.

Colin Powell Loves Old Volvos
In 2007, Powell told the New York Times about his old Volvos: "At one time I had six, stashed at various places around the post so the military police wouldn’t find them all." In 2013, he told D.C.-area magazine Capitol File that he "fell in love with old Volvos" when he bought a 1977 240 for his son going to college — eventually, he bought more than 20 of them. And in his 1995 memoir My American Journey, Powell discusses at one point applying for a dealer license to buy and sell Volvos. He even received a 1966 Volvo from President Clinton as a gift upon his retirement.

But Bazza, all you do with your truck is carry some high dollar exotic plants and maybe a small pack of foreign dogs :)

You're right Bazza, lumber has come down a bunch. Thank goodness. Good looking wood you got there.
Thanks. Already had one of the 8' 2x4's crumble in the middle where a knot was. Luckily I hadn't used it yet plus I got extras of that size. ;)

I'm building a little 10'x8' storage unit in the backyard. I picked up some aluminum roof panels earlier in the year from CL so will use those as well. They are 12" wide and 10' long. The kind that's used for Florida rooms and patios. They're called pans. I like the 5/4" for decking. I got the 4x4 posts in today and will finish the rest tomorrow except the roof which I hope to do on Thursday.

Getting ready to have my pole barn installed down in Wewahitchka, 36x48. Going to enclose part of it and have started looking for stuff on Marketplace. You can find just about anything but you need to know prices.
