A work buddy just heard on 1420 that the team had hit their knee saying a prayer for a downed Glenn Coffee...

any other news?

I heard on WJOX it might be a sprained MCL/ACL. I just hope it's not any more serious than that which is serious enough

Just talked to someone there and they said it looked pretty serious. Of course I guess we wont know anything until later. But apparently it did not look good.

Herb says from WJOX that JPW hit DJ on a 36 yarder and looks like a seasoned-vet on the field...the offense scored on the first 3/ 5 possesions....they are at the half right now!

Also, Terry Grant ran for 50+ TD run. Was pulling away from 1st Team secondary. VERY FAST!

Bino laid the hit that injured Coffee. Also Jamie Christiensen kicked an extra point and came of the field grabbing his kicking leg....don't know how severe it is yet.

Just great. Our returning kicker goes out grabbing his kicking leg. Auburn must play flag football on the plains, because I don't think they've had anyone very seriously injured in the last 2 or 3 years. It just seems to be the norm to have someone tear up a knee at Alabama. :mad2:

I'm calling my great-grandmother up on Sand Mountain. She knows every mountain legend there is, and there's bound to be one for preventing injury. Or it could be that something needs to be done to the stadium or the field. Not sure what.

May need to find owl spit, a hickory nut and a cat's tooth, then bury under the field at midnight on a full moon. That oughta exorcise that dadgum stadium.

If Coffee does have a season ending injury then Grant would fill that role!

Not sure if we would want to play Grant if we don't have to. Right now we have a great backup in Jimmy Johns. Not sure what the status is for Upchurch...but if he's healthy...then he will see some playing time.

Grant is a beast though and I expect him to be a playmaker for Bama in the coming years.

Also...just heard that Grant scored his 2nd TD...53 yards.
