IIRC it was before. He has family ties to UNC.I know at one time he was committed to Bama. Did he change his mind after BY committed?

Well, we did too, but we didn't adjust either.I keep waffling back and forth between
UGA's offense can't keep up. UT wins in a shootout.
and
UGA will make the changes necessary on defense to win in a shooout.
I think overall UGA has superior talent and that ultimately is the deciding factor.
I wonder what the stats look like on common opponents.not sure why georgias offense cant keep up with tennesses offense
UGA
Points per game: 43
Yards per game: 537
Yards per play: 7.3
Yards allowed: 282
Points allowed per game: 12.0
yards per play allowed: 4.6
Tennessee
Points per game: 47
Yards per game: 532
Yards per play: 7.1
Yards allowed: 394
Points allowed: 20.5
yards per play allowed: 5.1
I'm still not sold on Bennett. He makes lots of throws every game I watch Georgia that are 50/50 type throws.UGA's defense is playing better than ours and the game is in Athens. Bennett is no Hooker of Young, but he does have a better supporting cast. I'll take UGA in a close game 4-7 points.
All four points are exactly why I think UGA gets this one. And I think it's best for us, at least from the perspective of the SECCG, assuming we can get there.I like this plan the best, and here's why:
1. Take away our horrible anamoly of a 1st quarter in Knoxville, and we win.
2. Have some real referees, and we win.
3. Know to line Reichard up better for a kick, and we win.
4. Have the experience of playing them already, and we win.
Everyone seems to be forgetting one thing: regardless of how great UT looks this year, they still just BARELY escaped us in their own house. Take away ANY of the things that went wrong for us, and we would have won.
This isn't sour grapes, and I hate playing "coulda-shoulda-woulda," but facts are facts.
no reason to be sold on bennett. all he has is age/experience to go along with a system that works for him and is surrounded by talent to throw the ball to or hand it offI'm still not sold on Bennett. He makes lots of throws every game I watch Georgia that are 50/50 type throws.
I know UT is not supposed to be good on the back end, but I could see about a 14 swing in the score if Bennett throws an INT or two.
Yes, they could for the same reason we've got in twice. The committee OR old BCS (2011) respected Bama so much. All four points are exactly why I think UGA gets this one. And I think it's best for us, at least from the perspective of the SECCG, assuming we can get there.
Keep in mind, if a ref 20-30 yds downfield keeps a flag in his pocket, we probably win in Knoxville by 7-14 points. Even as poorly as we played, that was ultimately the difference in the game. I think UTk is overrated for that win.
The real question is: Could UTk lose this game, and win out, and still make the CFP? We've taken that route (one loss, no SECCG). Twice.
Yes, but wouldn't it be sweeter if they get even more full of self and then we destroy them in the SECCG and possibly knock them out of the CFP?I have no rooting interest but a blowout of the Vols after their fans have suddenly appeared miraculously out of nowhere bragging would admittedly be comical.
Good luck if you think that is the same UT team you will be playing this weekend.
No luxury of your opponent drawing 17 flags this time either…Our defense has performed the absolute worst against this UT team compared to any other power 5 opponent they've played. Rest assured Georgia's defense will play them MUCH better than we did. Especially at home.
in what way? they had 576 yards of offense against florida which is right right in line with the amount of offense they typically have. I don't think their defense has proven anything yetGood luck if you think that is the same UT team you will be playing this weekend.
