Yep. And then give us our rematch with them when it really counts. My head is warming up to those ideas! And that's why I really believe we'd beat them in a rematch.
Me personally? I want to see UT dominate UGA. I hope it's not even close!

Dare I say the CFP would be even more interesting if it was 8 teams this year?If Georgia loses to Tennessee, Georgia will not make the playoffs unless....... Their only path at that point is hoping Clemson loses, TCU loses, and Bama (if we make it) loses to UT in the SECCG.
Unless Clemson loses to Notre Dame, I guess maybe they have a chance to lose to North Carolina in the ACCCG, but meh, I doubt it. TCU, I think that bubble pops this month. If Bama makes it to the SECCG and beats UT.....Bama is in, UT is in, the winner of Ohio State/Michigan is in, and then.......who knows.
I'm hoping ND beats Clemson. They'd get blown out in the playoff.
TCU has Texas Tech, @ Texas, @ Baylor, and Iowa State....then probably vs KSU again. They could lose any of those games.
Michigan/Ohio State winner is the BIG10 champ outside of a B10CG upset. Does a 1 loss of either one, that doesn't make their championship game, get in over a 1 loss Georgia that also didn't make their championship game? Committee won't put 3 SEC teams in.
Then you've got the PAC 12 winner.....if Oregon wins out.....if USC wins out, both have 1 loss.
This is fun, as usual. It all shakes out in the end.
But I have to ask a sincere question, since I'm not that familiar with the post-BCS ranking schemes. Does the "quality" of a win or loss still make a difference? Let's say that Tennessee beats Georgia, but they do so by one point because Georgia misses a PAT in the fifth overtime. Would that leave Georgia ranked higher than if the Vols blew them out 56-3?If Georgia loses to Tennessee, Georgia will not make the playoffs unless....... I know at one time he was committed to Bama. Did he change his mind after BY committed?I'm excited to see Drake Maye vs Clemson. That kid is legitimately good.
I think this year, yes. There is no elite team that's really separated itself from the pack.Dare I say the CFP would be even more interesting if it was 8 teams this year?
I think things like that depend on how the committee feels that day. Their logic or explanations always seem to be all over the place. And this year, with no teams separating themselves, I think their logic will sound flawed in the end.But I have to ask a sincere question, since I'm not that familiar with the post-BCS ranking schemes. I think that's what CNS/BOB planned to do. But we got punched in the nose so fast our head was spinning the whole first quarter.I look for Georgia to use ball control offense to keep the Vols offense on the sideline.I’ll take the Bowers and the Bulldogs to cover.Nobody on the field is as good as Bowers.
Having 4 teams is why the regular season matters. Bama is in a playoff game every week right now. TN/UGA is a playoff game. The loser is likely out. With 8 teams it does not matter. OSU/UM matters, it is a playoff game. Expanding to 8 or 12 or heaven forbid 16, makes it just like the basketball tournament. For all the attention the tournament gets, most of the games go the way they are supposed to. There are upsets just by the sure number of games, but basically the entire regular season does not matter. I really do not want that to happen to college football, but I do realize I am a lone wolf in this area.Dare I say the CFP would be even more interesting if it was 8 teams this year?
Whether we like it or not, the CFP is expanding, but since this year there are a lot of undefeated or 1 loss teams, I see some reality to how some years more teams might help determine the best team.Having 4 teams is why the regular season matters. Kind of highjacked the thread, sorry. I think UGA wins at home. I just do not believe UGA will give up 49 pts at home. Their coaches will make changes before that happens.
I want UGA to win. I want us to win out and beat UGA in the SEC championship. Us to go to the CFP and TN to get left out and they lose their minds bc we are in and they beat us. I live in MEM and these fans are coming out all over the place right now and I would love nothing better. That would be better to me than beating them in a rematch.
I agree the CFP is expanding just not a fan of it but I will have to deal with it.Whether we like it or not, the CFP is expanding, but since this year there are a lot of undefeated or 1 loss teams, I see some reality to how some years more teams might help determine the best team.
BTW, I don't think UT is out of it if they lose to UGA in a competitive game. The committee values their win over us. It's why they were placed at #1 in the first CFP poll.

agree! Bama had a record setting 17 penalties, stupid miscues, and was down 28-10 on the road and still had a chance to win. let that sink in...Our defense has performed the absolute worst against this UT team compared to any other power 5 opponent they've played. Rest assured Georgia's defense will play them MUCH better than we did. Especially at home.
