OC and DC replacement discussion

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

Just my opinion - BoB will be in NFL within the next few weeks. Golding is not going anywhere. Saban would never have praised him last month if he Golding was about to be dumped.

And folks - this isn't my opinion - it is a fact - *IF* - Golding leaves this year the replacement will NOT be Pruitt or Demeco. Those options are pure nonsense. WILL NOT HAPPEN.
Just as long as he does leave................and there is an upgrade

Mind-numbing to try and conjure how there could be a downgrade from Gol*ing.

And how come no ululating from tidefans on ToTo going pro? - as that old adage covers it, when the going gets tough, the tough go pro!
well, he is a senior who was a 4 year starter. Sure he could have used a COVID year, but it's not like he's bolting out 'early' as a junior. hopefully he's got his degree, and it's not likely another season would improve his draft stock.

Bill O’Brien is most certainly gone at the OC position. He’ll land somewhere in the NFL soon. But the longer things go without at least a few “strong whispers” about Gol*ing possibly “on the move”, makes me think he’ll be back at DC with some a position coach shake ups (beyond Kelly).
And for me that isn’t a good feeling.

Todd Monken sits up in the booth. Seemed to work pretty good.

That's because his QB was 25 years old with lots of experience. lol
I guess it just depends on who the OC is, and how comfortable the QB feels with the play-calling. I know there have been both good and bad OC's in the booth and on the field for college teams.

Someone on another board listened to GMac on a podcast recently and he said to look out for someone in the Baylor coaching tree, insinuating it might be Jeff Lebby.
I hope he's right but until it actually happens I am very skeptical about Saban moving on from PG. The guy has had a DUI and other public "issues" related to alcohol and he's still here.
