Wasn't Saban complaining about the NIL not too long ago? It leveled the playing field alright, but that's because now everyone can get away with doing the things the Red Elephant Club (surely y'all know about the REC?) has been getting away for since Bear was roaming the sidelines. You didn't think it was just the prestige of "the Capstone" that turned so many players who grew up Auburn fans into Alabama signees? Really?!? Mark Emmert is one of Saban's good friends from their time working together in Baton Rogue, and you think you're really just squeaky clean?
actually, yes, yes I do!

BTW, Vincent Jackson grew up a Bama fan! Are there any kids in Alabama that grow up as barner fans? And if so, why?

Looks like he is going to flip. This one stings worse than Riddick but his quotes crack me up. There is nothing deep about playing in the Birmingham bowl 3 out of 4 years. Who’s going to throw you the ball??? Their o-line recruiting has not been great and 2024 is not projected to be a star studded o-line class. It’s a teenager thing. You’re different than trillions of people that came before you. Lol

we’ll be fine.

Freez is slimey when it comes to recruiting but he must have a great gift of gab. I look for aubrun to go very hard at any top player from the state and any they may think they can pull away from us.

I saw a podcast of two of our linebackers (Jihaad Cambell and Chris Braswell)
on Footballville LINK
which i never watch but both guys came accross as the very type player you want on the team.

So i hope the old saying "it's not who you miss on but who you get" is true if auburn takes a recruit from us that we have evaluated highly. It may hurt us some but, while Coach Saban is at The University of Alabama coaching up these kids it is an opportunity that some kids will never have.

The thing about freeze that cracks me up is he is scary in a one game scenario. He lost to Memphis in year 4 at a sec program. We are about to move into an era where 10-2 isn’t a death sentence anymore. So he is going to spoil our playoff bye now??

Do you not understand what a redundant question is? I know full well y'all know who the REC is. If you have any clue what they get into, then it's hysterical to see you act all clean and pure while *Auburn* is the ones cheating.
You're bragging about Freeze who got fired from Ole Miss for *checks notes* using burner phones to call escorts and then are talking about the REC being dirty 😂😂😂

Nope, and wasn't planning to. I try not to associate with the scum of humanity all that often, so I stay away from rival boards. (Full disclosure, there's some of it on our boards too, I know.)
Man... You need to get a life. Not having your whole ego consumed by how your team is doing. Just enjoy your own team... don't live your life hating on others.

Hate to lose an in state kid, especially with his body type.

Sleeze is doing what it takes to win the Iron Bowl: he’s getting the top talent in state that understands the importance of the game.

I can see how both Riddick and Thompson would want early playing time, more immediate NIL money, etc. I don't know how much their family and/or friends are influencing them. Maybe they think they can be the start of something supposedly new at Auburn and help the team back to having winning records. I don't know if they are certain about it or still confused. I do know that Saban will probably continue to recruit them and that he won't play the bidding war with NIL money. Coach Saban is the best recruiter there is in all areas, explaining so much information about football and life, etc. Some players just want to go to other schools regardless.

I certainly don't like Auburn athletics ( I think it is a decent school academically). But, I think I don't like Freeze more than I don't like Auburn. It is a character issue. I wouldn't even be comfortable with him as a Bama OC or analyst. I realize the only person who knows the truth about if he has changed or not is him and the Lord though.

I think what bothers me about the situation is that one of these players may have been not truthful to the staff. Also, the NIL thing bothers me, even though I know Alabama does it too (but Bama tries to do it the right way). We will see what happens today and in December at signing day. I know Bama will be fine either way with recruiting and transfer portal. It is just weird seeing Auburn get top in-state recruits again after a few years of not having to worry about it.
it’s not weird, It’s NIL

If you come in riding on a high horse, questioning your audience’s familiarity with the tools of the English language, you would do well to describe your own usage with the right words, and to use standard grammar.

Your question wasn't redundant. It was rhetorical. You do know the difference, don’t you? Just FYI, that’s an example of a rhetorical question.

And the phrasing , “*Auburn* is the ones” has a glaring numerical inconsistency.

If you want to assert intellectual superiority, it’s usually best to actually demonstrate it.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.
So does Saban with infinite more success than Freeze.
Come on Dub, compare the records.
The sample size for Freeze is small but extremely strong. DK Meltcalf and AJ Brown are two of the best receivers in football right now. Treadwell probably would be too if not for a horrific injury setback in college (suffered in a game against Auburn no less). Evan Engram is up there too.

How soon can he get a QB to feed these guys he’s reeling in the ball is the big question.
