It's Friday night and I'm old - I'm staying in and watching football..

Army marched down the field and scored a TD then forced / recovered a fumble on TUSA's second snap, so they have the ball in great field position.

And of course Andre Ware had to make a comment concerning Bama’s decision to start Buchner tomorrow. How he felt sorry for Milroe (as do many of us here) because “when you have a bad game all you want is the chance to play the next game and prove yourself.”

Well Andre…sometimes adversity happens, and you have to deal with it. Sometimes things don’t break your way. That is the way life works. Fair, unfair, or indifferent. All you can do is continue to prepare in case your opportunity arises again. Or you can sit and pout.

You see Andre, you don’t come to Alabama to “just to play football”. You come to compete. Day in and day out. What we EXPECT is for you to strive for excellence, not just “play football”. And we Alabama fans expect Jalen to respond with a “continue to grind” attitude. Because that is “the Bama Standard”. And if he doesn’t, then he was probably at the wrong place to begin with.

You see, that is the difference between the University of Alabama and some place like say, Houston……

Boom, UTSA responds with a 73 yard TD strike. 2 point conversion is good, score is now 37-29, Army leads, Still just over six minutes to play, but I suspect they'll try an onsides kick - Army can eat six minutes without breaking a sweat.

Yep, shame he couldnt have been patient

Rumour was he was offered 1.5M in NIL to transfer to an SEC school over the summer...what would a theoretical starting QB role be worth had he waited to lead Bama to a potential CFP appearance..more? thanks to current rules we will never know

Dang, Army has gone 5-5 on 4th down conversions, just punched in a TD on 4th down to take a 37-21 lead with under seven to play...
Final - Army beats UTSA 37-29

ARMY ended up going 6 for 6 on 4th down conversions and had ZERO penalties for the entire game.

Suffice to say they are THE GOLD STANDARD for team discipline!

One of the more fraudulent Heisman winners. Curious how he cares about players feelings now, unlike when his Houston teams used to hang 70, 80, or 90 points on overmatched opponents with the run and shoot they played back then. His NFL "career" exposed him as nothing more than a system qb....

And as CB4 noted, the opponent retains the Gol* "substandard" where Gol*ing made his *efensive chops for un*isciplined play and showed early but conclusive evidence of how never to make a *efensive stop particularly on third down.

He had to transfer to see the field.

He was not this good when he first got to MD. He has improved as he has gained experience. Had he stayed, he likely would not have developed as much as he has over there.

Correct. He would have been #2 behind Bryce for 2 years only getting to come in late and hand the ball off on 1st and 2nd down with an occasional pass on 3rd and 10+

He would have gotten a spot start last year instead of Jalen but that’s it really… plus BoB wouldn’t have helped him at all.
